Pet care experience

Pets have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I got my first dog at three years old when I told my mom that I did not want to share a puppy with her! I loved her from the time she was 8 weeks until she passed at 14 years old. From there, I was hooked. We never had less than 5 dogs in my house at a time, and they all have lived long and happy lives. I currently have 2 rescue pups and a rescue kitty who I love immensely. On top of my personal experience, I worked as a kennel technician and adoptions counselor for 2 years, as well as years of volunteering prior to employment. Working with animals in the shelter ignited my passion and now I plan to go to vet school! I learned a plethora of useful skills during my employment. I trained underneath our lead dog trainer during my entire time at the shelter. From there, I personally took animal behavioral training course as well as basic medical courses. I have experience with animal aggression as well as shy or fearful animals. I also worked part time in the shelter’s vet clinic when needed. Pets are a huge part of my life and I am hoping they will be for a long time. When I watch your fur-baby, I treat them as my own.

Zoe is great with my cats. She takes good care of them and spends extra time interacting with them. I've already used her several times and will continue to do so.

Zoe did a wonderful job taking care of our young pups while we were away, sending pictures, videos and messages throughout the day keeping us informed and relaxed knowing all was well at home with our dear puppies. When we returned home the pups were happy and the place was neat and cared for. We will definitely ask for Zoe's help the next time we travel. Her warmth, responsiveness and professionalism is much appreciated.

The care and happiness of your pet is number 1 to me! I love to stick to your pet’s normal routine. Whether that be just hanging around the house, playing fetch in the yard, or going for a drive, I am willing to do whatever to make you and your pet happy and comfortable! You will always come home to a clean house and happy baby! I wash everything I use, including the sheets and towels if I am staying in your home. I aim to make it look perfect for you! In my home, we are pretty laid back, but love to get out for some exercise, so we are down for a long walk through the neighborhood or a night on the couch snuggling up and watching a movie! During drop ins, I aim to make sure your pet has lots of enrichment so the visit is worthwhile to them!

I am experienced administering medication in dogs, cats and bunnies. I can administer injectable medication for cats as well, and would 100% be open to learning on a pup if you want to give me a lesson! I have observed it multiple times in the past, but have never done it myself. I have experience with special needs dogs and cats as well as senior dogs and cats. I am open to learning all sorts of new things so let me know if there are any special accommodations your pet needs!

A typical day

In my complex, we have a nice open area to walk the pups! It’s nice and shady and never too busy. If your pup has a particular path they like to follow in your neighborhood let me know! Also, if your pets like car rides, swimming or going to the park, I would be more than happy to take them! In my home, I have lots of cat and dog toys for the babies to play with, and I can absolutely bring some along if I stay in your home. I also love teaching the pups tricks are doing enrichment activities such as a lick mat, puzzle toy or even just going out to sniff new things! Just let me know what your babies like!
