I have always been around dogs, I was raised with bull mastiffs, alsations, neopolitan mastiffs (so much drool!). I had my lovely Tibetan Terrier, Fonzy, for 15 years and he left a huge space in our lives. Recently I have been fostering rescue puppies and dogs whilst they await adoption, which is so rewarding but also challenging as you don't always have a history or know what they've been through (Iike Randall - champion door opener and bin diver, who was terrified of bald men!). I currently don't have my own dog as I prefer the flexibility of temporary furry friends. This means there's nearly always spare cuddles and ear rubs needing a home.

I live in a pet friendly village, and daily walks from my home would be around the beautiful local nature reserve. I have a small secure garden laid to lawn which dogs have permanent access to throughout the day. I do allow dogs on our furniture, and if your pet is anxious, they can sleep in the bedroom with me, but I am led by your preferences. I want your pet to feel at home when staying with me. I will not sit pets from another household at the same time (unless its a family group and they know each other), so they have my undivided attention in a safe environment.

I need to know if your dog has any allergies, anxieties, and if there's anything I need to be careful about. It's also helpful to know their usual schedule in terms of feeding and exercise so I can keep as close to that as possible.
A typical day
Long walks around the local nature reserve, belly rubs, some playing in the garden and a snooze in front of the tv. Occasion trips out in the car to country parks.

Availability
I work from home, occasionally I do pop into the office (2 miles away) but never more than once a week, and when I'm dog fostering I never leave them for more than 4 hours.
