Playful and responsible sitter!

Pet care experience

I'm not a dog person. I'm an animal person! I have two senior kitties, a gecko, an anole, a hamster, and fish under my care. I love all sorts of cuddly and not so cuddly creatures! I've cared for family cats and dogs growing up and am looking forward to getting my own puppy next year! I've been a sitter for two years. I'm very comfortable caring for senior kitties and dogs. My own senior cat needed oral medication weekly since age 3 for a special condition. I've been solely responsible for feeding, exercising, bathing, and medicating cats since I was 12 and as someone in my mid 20s I make a mature and responsible sitter. I've also cared for medicating a spicy elderly cat with hiv that needed two daily medications, including pills, before their passing (6 months) RIP. So for pets that have special needs I'm very familiar with these procedures and am comfortable with them if necessary as long as we go over them in person first! I believe challenged pets deserve equal opportunity to be cared for and loved!  I cannot bathe cats that are fiesty when it comes to water. I also cannot trim any nails as I am not a professional groomer and accidents can cause infection. Safety is my number one priority!

Zoe took care of our girls and did an excellent job! She was on time and dependable! She was so kind and sent us lots of pictures. It made our vacation better knowing our girls were in good hands.

Zoe is very accomodating to scheduling and changes. She loves animals and tales time to walk and play with them. I would recommend Zoe to any animal owner who needs a sitter.

Zoe did a great job with my pups. She walk them, bathe them, gave my little old girl her eyedrops, kept in touch with me, sent me pictures, and made me feel very comfortable, knowing she was taking such good care of them. I had to leave them for an extended time as I was new to North Carolina, and in the process of getting situated in the home. I miss them horribly, but was comforted by the fact that she was taking such good care of them.

AGGRESSION I'm not comfortable with pets with aggression and if your dog has leash fear I'm afraid I cannot provide outdoor services such as walking or hose showers. Please let me know of any fears or concerns.

Information Zoe R. would like to know about your pet

I'm happy to walk, feed, medicate, and generally care for all small and medium dog breeds, so long as they don't have a history of aggressive leash reactivity, leash fear, aggressive food guarding, or aggressive response to being given medication (I need to be shown how your dog is used to being given medicine and successful do so supervised before I can safely attempt to do so alone with your dog). Any allergies, medical conditions, or fears would be important to know as well as your preferred emergency vet's number just in case. I "know" cpr for cats and dogs but I've never been taught by a professional or certified in any way.

A typical day

I'd love to be given your dogs preference in treats and any allergies so I can safely give them encouraging rewards throughout their stay or walk! For dogsitting I'm happy to bring whatever type of toys you're comfortable with and look forward to play, walks, and bellyrubs. Let me know if there's any tricks you'd like me to practice!
