I’ve grown up with small pets and cats throughout my childhood and in my teens got my first Labrador. He’s now 5 and a wonderful gentle giant! I took care of him in the puppy stages and was a main trainer of him. At the age of 1 he got very ill and has remained sensitive since so I have experience with a dog with extra needs. A couple of years ago I got my second Labrador this time from a working line of gun dogs, he has much more energy, needing a much higher level of stimulation throughout the day, I have also been a main trainer for him and really enjoy it. I’ve been dog sitting since I got my first dog for neighbours, friends and family. I’ve had experience dog/house sitting, drop ins and dog walking. I love animals (dogs especially) so always thoroughly enjoy looking after them. I have just graduated from uni and I’m now taking a year off to travel, between travelling I’d love to offer my services of dog sitting, drop ins and walking. Mid September I am going to share my passion for dogs and volunteer at a shelter in Spain. I will follow the instructions for each clients specific needs. Before allowing dogs off lead on walks I will assess their level of recall and general obedience. While dog sitting I like the dogs to be well stimulated and entertained which usually means, where possible, joining me on all errands I have to run and any social activities I go on. I have my own car and been driving for 7 years with a clean licence. I have a sling type cover over the back seats of my car and require dogs to be harnessed and strapped in for safety.
