Hello! I’m Zoe (she/her), pictured here is my Therapy Dog. I’ve been a caregiver to dogs of various breeds, temperaments and health histories for the last 20 years and helped my Therapy Dog heal from chronic illness during puppyhood while also training her when she arrived home. As an empath I relate to both my own animal companions and dogs I watch with tenderness and sensitivity, both of which have allowed me to connect with animals deeply and recognize and honor their needs with compassion and understanding since I was a child. My innate ability to connect with animals intuitively also lends itself to gently training and working with dogs in reading their intentions and behaviors with precision while honoring and respecting their autonomy and curiosities as beloved animals. After helping my Therapy Dog heal from chronic illness during her puppyhood, I now also work additionally as a healing practitioner for animals healing from stress and subsequent illness.

I have one Therapy Dog who is naturally gentle and empathic and one senior dog who keeps to herself, with enough room in our home to keep your dog safe and separate if that is their desire. They would have access to the downstairs (hardwood) and outdoor backyard, a fenced in stone patio with a 9 ft walls all around and plenty of sunshine and air!

Please let me know re: your pup - How they expect I enter the home so as to not alarm them - How they are with new humans - Behavioral cues they respond to or dislike - Any access needs if they are disabled - Any triggers with humans and other animals - If walking, what to look out for: if they like to roll in anything or like to eat everything, etc. - If they expect a treat, a meal, and/or water after our walk or during sitting - If there is a place to go to the bathroom outside if needed if sitting only & how they indicate if they need to go - If they have certain sensitivities or traumas in a certain place of their body where they do not desire physical contact - If they require any medication *** Please also do share an emergency contact + your vet or animal hospital if not already included in their profile.
A typical day
I will follow your pup’s curiosities! Getting to be a playmate to dogs is a joy being a caregiver myself. Be it tug, gently playing with their favorite toy otherwise, or excursions outside, I follow their lead and whatever is on their heart for a loving bonding experience.

Availability
I now also work additionally as a healing practitioner for animals and have the flexibility of creating my own schedule as such: in caring for your dog(s), I have flexible availability weekdays in the mornings and afternoons, with weekends available at those times as well. Early evenings can be arranged as needed.
