Your Dog's New Best Friend

Pet care experience

Hello everyone! My name is Zoe and I recently relocated to San Diego from Arizona. I have been pet sitting for numerous years and fostered twice while in college. Both times were for beautiful pit-mixes who both found their forever homes. Unfortunately, my mom was severely allergic to dogs growing up so we couldn't have one in the house but that never stopped me from loving them! Many families and individuals have trusted me to house sit/check in on their animals while they were out of town. My daily duties would look like this: Going to the house about 3 times per day, letting out the dog each time, feeding the dog and both cats once in the morning and once at night, cleaning up in the yard/cleaning litter box, and ensuring the animals got the needed attention they deserve. Animals have always brought such joy to my life and are something I am very compassionate about. I believe it is amazing the impact that our furry friends have on our lives and I take care of each one as if they are my own, knowing that they are truly a part of their owners family.

Zoe was great! She was very attentive to our dog, and all the updates and pictures she provided made us feel very comfortable knowing our dog was being taken care of. We will definitely have Zoe watch our dog again!

Zoe was great from the second she stepped out to get Riley to when we picked him up. She took him for a walk and made sure he was cool and entertained. I LOVED getting photos from her and updates on how he was. Highly recommended.

I have known Zoe D since I first entered my college career as a freshman. Seeing as how I am now a senior and have known her for only 3 short years, I have had the blessed opportunity to get to know her and all the amazing qualities that she contains, which I think are perfect for a job here at Rover. I have first hand witnessed Zoe change in these 3 years through overcoming personal adversity, an extremely diligent work ethic, and one of the most caring and compassionate hearts that anyone can have. Zoe works a part time job at the University of Arizona while also excelling in her school work as well as personal relationships. She has never led any of her peers, both occupational and personal, astray in any way and showcases vast amounts of loyalty and determination. Coming from first hands experience I would bet anything on the fact that your animal will be safe and cared for under her supervision. On top of all of that, she LOVES all animals, especially dogs.

Information needed for a first time dog sit is as follows: -Feeding schedule -Frequency of potty breaks / walks per day -Temperament with other dogs and people -Favorite toys, treats -Vet name and phone number ICE

A typical day

I like to keep dogs engaged in high activity while away from their owners to keep them distracted and having fun! This also helps tire them out and decreases any stress / anxiety they may be having away from their owners. I am a fan of long walks, dog parks and dog beaches if applicable.
