Special needs cats/kittens foster
Pet care experience
I have had pets all my life dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, etc. In high school I volunteered at a bird sanctuary and in college I have been regularly fostering kittens for the Humane Society for about two years now. Most of the kittens I receive are special needs and absolutely nothing brings me as much joy as working with them. But, now that I am living on my own, I want to find a way to continue doing what I love most in the world while also making a little bit of money. I have two cats who are fully vaccinated and healthy and have already become fully acclimated to having other animals stay with us for up to weeks at a time. I have included a lot of pictures of some of the cats that I have fostered. All pictures were taken in my home with toys and supplies ready to go specifically for temporary pet guests.

Zoe was awesome as a sitter. She made my cat feel like a part of their family. He was treated with such loving care, he did not want to leaver her care! I would highly recommend her to anyone for their pets.

I have special playpens for animals so that they have their own safe place if needed to adjust; the humane society use these exclusively. I also live on the second floor of my apartment and I have a patio with faux grass that is completely fenced in and 100% safe for animals to have some time out in the sun and fresh air. There’s also a very big walking area right in the backyard of my apartment building specifically in place for walking dogs that also has a fence around the perimeter. I have been a loyal caregiver for the Humane Society for two years and throughout that time I have learned through experience how to cultivate a loving, safe, and happy environment for pets with all needs.

I’d like to know if your dog has any special needs or anything I should be sensitive to so I can give them the best experience possible. Things like the times they normally get fed, walked, or any medicine they need. I really want their schedule here to match what they have at home so I can do a better job of making them feel at ease.
A typical day
I love going for nightly runs in the dog walking area in my backyard and it is always so much fun to bring a neighbor or friends dog with me! I also have a lot of toys and treats specifically for pet guests to make sure they feel welcomed and have a fun time.

Availability
I do have a full-time job as an assistant manager at a local grocery store and I am in college part time. But caring for animals is my true passion and I have already made it a priority to give as much of my time as possible to whatever the pets in my care need, and will happily make any adjustments necessary in order to make the parents and pets as happy, safe, and cared for as I can.
