I have a 9 1/2 year old female retreiver/lab mixed named Oreo (black and white like the cookie) that I've cared for since 2008. I'm an animal lover, which started with owning cats. As I got older, living with my mother, we adapted to a guinea pig, 2 raccoons, various birds, a ferret, I hopefully will add a rottweiler puppy to our family in the near future, from my friend who breeds them in Hartford, Connecticut. My love for dogs has grown tremendously since caring for my own. I understand the importance of a companion and a protector in the home. I also believe everyone should own one for that purpose. We attend the Humane Society and would love to be more active in the community.
