Pet care experience
(Pronouns: He/Him or They/Their) This is my only job, so my focus is your pets! I've helped train and care for dogs since I was 10 and decided to prove the old adage: "old dogs can't learn new tricks" wrong. I've embarked on a lifelong journey of love and care for our furry family members. My 'pets' are my kids to me, and their lives are full of love. We play when we're anxious or energetic, train when we're bored or pushing boundaries, and netflix and chill when we're sleepy! I keep an eye body language and take the time to get to know the pet, believing them every bit as unique and complex as their humans. I have a lot of experience with medium and large breeds, and puppies, and a variety of temperaments and energy/drive levels, from couch potatoes to working dogs, but no animal is too big or too small for love, respect, and care! <3 I also have the same feelings and beliefs for cats, and respect their individual needs and boundaries (or lack thereof!). I am also familiar with rabbits and fish, and am a plant enthusiast :) I'd love to send you pictures of cute or fun moments throughout our time together, as well as give you feedback on anything I might notice about behavior or health concerns. I can help with basic grooming depending on temperament (I'm not a trained groomer), keeping up with training sessions, and puppy care. My current cat is also diabetic, so I'm not afraid of insulin shots, but I presently have no training in IV's. My cat is a senior and needs no stress (my GSD just leaves her alone) and my GSD is super high energy and needs careful matches, so hosting isn't something I can do, but I wish I could. But I'd love to come over to your house and care for your furbaby(ies)! Whether it's dropping by for an hour to provide them relief from your busy schedule, or making sure they're well loved and cared for if you have to be away from them for a night or more, I'm your caretaker! From tiny lions to giant goobers, I can work with just about anyone :)

Zayven helped us tremendously by checking on a pup whose owner was hospitalized. He popped in with very short notice late at night, which we super appreciated. He sent adorable pictures and showed true care with our pup, even though it was a brief encounter. I would highly recommend him for his flexibility, concern, and tenderness <3

I'd really appreciate knowing your dog's typical schedule, behavior patterns, triggers, anxiety responses, medication needs, play styles, on-leash behavior, dietary needs, command list, and any health concerns. I'm detail oriented, so any and all info about your pet is very welcome! The more you know :)
A typical day
It's not about my typical day, it's about your pets needs and wants! With my own dog, we do sniffy walks around Greenlake, play fetch in the park when it's quiet and safe, play games of hide the treat when it's rainy outside so she doesn't get skin infections from the damp, do training sessions, or just lounge around and cuddle on the couch. Special needs pets are welcome! Not every animal can go play fetch in the park and that's okay! What does your pet like to do? Let's find ways to safely have fun :)

Availability
This is my only job, but without booking a day in advance I have to be home on the 11's for my cat's insulin shots :) One of my partners can take over if I know ahead of time though! I can be available same-day for afternoon or evening drop-ins otherwise. I can be available any days of the week except Friday nights and Saturdays (Saturday nights are okay!). I can also do most holidays except the weekend after Thanksgiving :) I will do my best for emergency situations as well - let's chat!
