Before my About Me, I’d like to provide the following updates: UPDATE 4/21/2023: I will only be communicating with Rover owners via Rover text message from now on. I will not communicate via email nor WhatsApp, because Rover only reviews Rover text messages. I know email and WhatsApp can be more convenient for international trips, but please access wifi in the country you are in to communicate with me on Rover. Glitches can be solved by deleting and reinstalling the app. This update is after my own poor experiences with a Rover sitter. I am on an international trip myself right now (will be back 4/25/2023). Unfortunately, it seems like most sitters do not follow all the instructions provided to them nor spend the time you’ve paid for caring for your pet. In my experience, all instructions have not followed and have caused a lot of panic and anxiety when I’ve been away. The paid service is treated like it's a favor and burden rather than a paid service they agreed to do. :/ Also, some sitters try to negotiate with you do to less for your pet and will treat you and your pet like a burden. Unfortunately, the sitter I hired stole or threw away one of my items she used as well. I can assure you that I will never do any of that. It goes against my personal values, reason, and conscience. UPDATE 12/19/2022: My Meet & Greets are free of charge and have always been free of charge. Any meets aside from that, such as picking up/dropping off keys or anything else, will require a payment. It takes energy, time, and finances to travel to your home so I believe a payment is reasonable. Dropping off the key(s)/fob to me is free of charge. ——— Hello :) I’ve loved animals ever since I can remember. I’ve had dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, birds (parakeets, cockatiels, ducks, chickens), hermit crab, Guinea pigs, and rabbits. I’ve taken care of my friends pets, including a turtle. As an elementary schooler, I’d beg my mom to take me to the library and I kid you not, I’d get 20+ books on dogs😆 so you can be rest assured I’m knowledgeable regarding dog breeds! Also, loved reading about other animals. I consider myself to be a cat AND dog person. I adore both. Cats are often unfairly stereotyped when in reality each and every one of them has their own personality. Our animals do so much more than we do for them, so I believe it’s vital that we ensure they live their best lives ^_^ Having someone experienced care for your fur baby while you are away benefits their well-being and reduces stress, especially since many pets have developed separation anxiety due to the pandemic! I feel happy knowing your furbaby has been provided their basic needs and some caring company :-) I have experience in giving cats injections, pills, and monitoring their blood glucose with a glucometer and lancet. I can also bathe both cats and dogs. I have started fostering kittens and cats in 8/2023.
