I come from a long line of "small dog people", and have over 3 decades of experience in caring for and LOVING dogs and cats. I have a special place in my heart for senior dogs, and have been known for making food from scratch for more than one toothless geriatric chihuahua :)

Zandi and Megan did a wonderful job watching our 16 year old dog! They checked in and sent photos with assuring messages that Junior was adjusting to the stay just fine. I recommend them as sitters for your senior dog!

Howdy! I have known Zandi for 24 years and counting. We were roommates at one point and evolved to a very close friendship. Throughout these years it has always been evident that Zandi is a dog person! (Animal person!) Her kind, loving heart adopted (now 2) elderly pups who live out their lives with the utmost love and care. She also has 2 other puppers who are just as loved and so well taken care of and accommodated for individually as well as a pack. And with her partner, they make a great team. One of Zandi's amazing attributes, among many, is that she is a walker! She loves going on walks with her crew. I have had the privilege of joining on occasion. I'd trust Zandi with my fur babies in a heartbeat!

I have a single-story home with LVP flooring (very easy to clean messes!), with lots of dog beds, and a small fully-fenced private yard. I have a covered patio area for dog lounging, as well as patio space with sunnier spots (weather permitting). Currently, my only dog is a very old chihuahua mix, who only cares about being in eye-sight of me, and sleeps and sleeps and sleeps. I'm professional, clean, organized, respectful, humorous, and love animals. I look forward to lovingly caring for your fur babies, as well as I do for my own, and you can trust they'll be in responsible and loving hands.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs; including any behaviors around feeding (warming food, height of food dish, etc.), around pottying (needing a diaper, etc.), and needing support in any way.
A typical day
Welcome to doggy-relaxation at it's best! Your senior and/or low-energy dog will have numerous dog beds to choose from (inside or outside in the fully-fenced yard, and potty breaks at least every 2 hours (more as needed). They will have access to fresh water, lots of love, and a very calm environment (no kids). Mealtime is twice/day (or as needed), and space and time are given for slower eaters. The treat schedule will be up to you. Evenings will include lounging on the couch and watching tv with the humans. We typically take a walk in the evening (if you're pup is up for exercise), and we have a dog stroller for our small furry friends who have issues with walking. Bedtime is generally one of many dog beds on the floor in the same room with the humans.

Availability
I run a nonprofit organization, and work from home full-time. I am available every day for doggy daycare until 7pm, or for overnight boarding (no pickups later than 7pm during weeknights, and no later than 8pm on Fridays/Saturdays). This is an ideal place for quiet senior dogs and low-energy dogs, who love lounging around, and just need a safe comfy space to spend the day/night. My dog goes out for a daily walk, so that can definitely be included, if your pup is up for it. Though I love all dogs, any dogs who are high-energy, high-volume, and/or bark a lot would not be a good fit for my place, because I do work from home, and need things to be fairly quiet and peaceful around here. :)
