(I.E mistakingly charging you my holiday pay) ✨ Hello! my name is Zalie (Zah-Lee). For 7+ years, I have been a casual pet sitter and dog walker in Humboldt, but am now making pet care one of my main priorities. I have worked with dogs of different breeds, age, special needs, leash/collar demands, and personality and in emergency situations such as skunk attacks, successful escape artists, etc... each one has been a memorable and humbling experience. Additionally, I have grown up caring and loving pets (mostly rescues) extending my experience and services to cats, small animals, and exotics. Some examples of additional animals I care for are reptiles (snakes, turtles, lizards), rodents (hamsters, guineas), and rabbits. ▪️FARM ANIMALS 🌼 I have some experience with farm animals (chickens, sheep,goats) and am interested in expanding my knowledge with them and provide the best care possible for them 🌼 ▪️ ADDITIONAL🌿 For high energy pups-- I am a lively person who hikes, jogs, and explores regularly around Humboldt. Additionally, I am experienced with caring for dogs in very structured training, so all energy/ training requirements are welcomed!

Zalie is amazing!! She is my go to sitter. I have a very anxious dog which makes me anxious but when she watches them all my anxiety goes away just knowing she is there and takes such amazing care of them.
This was our first time using a pet sitter and Zalie was awesome. We have two dogs, one is nervous around people and she was very cautious of her space. It was piece of mind knowing our dogs were in good care. She was very attentive and active in checking in and the overall process. We definitely recommend Zalie and we look forward to having her for future visits.

Zalie proved to be excellent with my over anxious dog. My pup has years of trauma and ptsd which makes her weary of new people and new situations. Zalie has showed so much patience and care to help my dog be as comfortable as possible in her surroundings with a "stranger". Zalie gave frequent updates and was quick to reply to any messages I sent. She sent photo updates of trust milestones her and my pup made and followed the tips I gave on how to handle my nervous girl when it came to going on walks and even needing to hand feed my dog because of her quirky anxiety issues. Zalie left my house neat and clean and made sure my dog was walked and fed and snuggled in to her safe spot before leaving moments before I got home. As the first time using Zalie and Rover for dog and house sitting, I am happy with the service. I'm so pleased that my shy dog now has a new human friend and I am confident that Zalie will continue to be my first choice when needing pet care.

I am enthusiastic about meet and greets because it is a key component in making sure everyone is at ease 😊 🔹IMPORTANT: PET/HOUSE SITTING I may have clients that I walk and do check ins with during my stay, in these cases I may be out for a maximum of 2-6 hours (exceptions can apply to puppies, disabled, pets). To assure, I will ALWAYS be with your pet(s) during nights. 🔹IMPORTANT SAFETY: For your dogs protection and mine I DO NOT walk unleashed dogs in high-traffic OR public areas! Additionally, I do not walk leash aggressive dogs. ▪️As mentioned, I value a strong line of communication with my clients to ensure all parties are comfortable! I like to cover a variety of questions regarding your pets' temperament, medical needs, dietary needs, social behavior, commands, and behavior reinforcement. ▪️When house sitting, I ask additional questions about maintenance, and your own boundaries with your home. Overall, my goal prior to hanging with your wonderful pet(s) is to cover all the bases in order to make sure everyone can acclimate smoothly! All questions are welcome so don't hesitate to ask, I am incredibly flexible ☺️

▪️I am a very active person ✨I am experienced with taking dogs on pet friendly hikes, to the beach, and long walks! For elderly pets I am especially attentative and make sure to listen to their boundaries and needs.
