Pet care experience
I am a dog owner who lives at the junction of Cabagetown, Rosedale and Greek Town Toronto with my mid-sized, 9-yr-old mixed breed rescue dog from South Africa. I have years of experience caring for dogs, dog-sitting, boarding and walking. I met and fell in love with my dog Scars (so named because he has a few) while volunteering at a dog shelter. Overall I spent two years volunteering at dog shelters and vets in Johannesburg, providing general care for the animals and calming them down during stressful examinations. I grew up with 3 smaller dogs in my family home and was responsible for their feeding and walking. Scars is dog and human friendly. Together we take loving care of our canine guests. Their diet and their temperament, how they got along with other dogs is very important, also whether they have any triggers, (eg my dog always hides away in dens when loud noises go off so I avoid them as much as possible.)
A typical day
I live near Riverdale park where's the an off leash park and the Don Valley trails Fun activities are unique to each dog... some like to play ball while others like to socialize in dog parks. I ask pet parents what their dogs like to do.
