Pet care experience
I am a veterinary student at Long Island University and I own a cat named Boo. Boo is very timid, so I know what it takes to make the felines feel at ease with new people (I am also Fear Free Certified!). I am also a feline foster, so I am very familiar with all kinds of cats and kittens! I grew up with dogs and many critter pets and have worked at veterinary clinics for over 5 years prior to veterinary school. So if you would like a pet sitter who can administer medications and watch for health concerns, I am your sitter! Additionally, I was an Animal Care Intern at a wildlife rehabilitation center and have experience working with wildlife for those of you with exotic pets. I charge exotic/critter pets the same as cats. During dog walks, I don't mind taking an easy stroll down a sidewalk for our older folks or a new unpaved trail for those more adventurous. For drop-ins, I will surely play some fun games with your pet and won't let them feel lonely while you're away. Let me know what they love to do! Safety is my number one priority while in your home with your pets. I lock the door during my stay and always double check the door is locked as I leave. Before I let animals outside for the first time, I check that the fences/gates are closed. While outside, they never leave my sight! During walks, I ensure their harnesses are fitted. For indoor pets, I ensure their environment is safe every visit. If you take any extra precautions, such as leaving lights on overnight, closing blinds, or setting alarms, please let me know!

Tell me what activities they enjoy the most! Also let me know if they have any behavioral triggers, allergies, or medical needs. During meet and greets, I will ask for your vet's information and an emergency contact as a precaution if I cannot get a hold of you.
A typical day
I enjoy playing with your pets to keep them physically and mentally stimulated. I will present their favorite toys and run around with your pets. My goal is for them to rest well until your return!

Availability
Because I am a student, I am available to pet sit during summer and winter breaks. This makes me available most of the day while I am home. Whenever I am enrolled in externships, I will work around that schedule to care for your pets.
