Pet care experience
I've had dogs and cats all through my childhood as my family are all huge animal lovers. The dog that we had for most of my childhood was an English Pointer with epilepsy. We gave her long walks and soothed her and made sure she was safe when she went into convulsions. I absolutely adore the happiness and companionship and loyalty that dogs give and combined with being a big fan of walking, I walk six miles everyday, it is probably the reason why dogs have awarded me the best dog walker title year in and year out. I am caring, fun, happy and energetic-just like dogs!

Zahra is kind, friendly and dedicated in everything that she does. She is an animal lover and experienced in looking after pets in general and dogs in particular. In the past, she has looked after gerbils, guinea pigs, cats and dogs. In particular she has looked after a dog called Bracken (a rescued German pointer) for many years. She had routinely taken Bracken for walks; early in the morning and in the afternoon. She provided the specified food and water for Bracken. I remember seeing Zahra whether she is working or watching television with Bracken constantly at her feet. Zahra is very engaging and entertaining. She is kind with a great deal of love and care that she is able to give to pets and people. I think she would make excellent pet companion, sitter and dog walker.
I have known Zahra B all her life, and can certainly vouch for her ability to care for dogs, as well as cats and other household pets. Zahra B has grown up surrounded by animals, and has been involved with their care from a young age. She shows compassion, is responsible to their needs and routine, and has a lot of fun with them at the same time. I think both Zahra B and the dog in her care will establish a great bond.

As I said I have cared for an epileptic dog, as well as a dog that is on 'heat'. I have also cared for dying pets as well as big dogs with boundless energy and have trained all my dogs to sit and lie down. I am respectful to the owner's individual instructions of how they specifically want you to handle and look after their pet.

A typical day
Exploring new areas with new and exciting new smells-not the same old walk everyday. Lots of belly rubbing, ball games and cuddly toys. Depending on temperament, slow and calming short walks or high energy long ones, interacting with different dogs in the park or going to more quieter places without dogs if needed.

Availability
I am studying for a Creative Writing PhD-writing a novel which features a large cast of dogs of course! The life of a writer is all from home, so I have a lot of freedom and flexibility to walk and care for dogs and other animals. The only day I cant do is Saturday as I have an admin assistant job on that day. I am free every other day of the week and Saturday evenings though.
