Pet care experience
My mom is a dog trainer (schutzund), dog breeder (German Shepherds, Great Pyrenes), dog foster parent, police dog trainer..you name it. My dad is a city mail carrier, trekking snow, sleet, and sunshine everyday. It's only natural that they'd pass down to me their combined traits as one avid Dog Walker! I've spent a lifetime with and around dogs and have been exposed to various energy levels, temperaments, breeds, and pack dynamics. Outside of my childhood home, I spent two years working at a dog daycare watching over a range of 20-65 dogs (with the help of up to 3 coworkers, of course). I've also filled in boarding, assisting in training, and caring for dogs for my mom's business as needed. I typically walk with or without a dog 2-8 miles a day.
Reviews
I was Zachary's boss at Proper Paws University, a Dog Daycare and Training Facility. Zack was very good with the dogs. He is kind and affectionate while being a leader with the dogs, displaying an environment of training and fun. He pays attention to the littlest of details. He likes to keep a schedule and routine with the dogs he cares for, a technique that gives the dogs a sense of security. I trust him with my dogs. They are not just members of my family, but they are show and highly titled dogs from great pedigrees as well. I would not hesitate to have Zachary care for my dogs
Zack has been an amazing find for my family and our pittie rescue, Roxanne! Years back shortly after we had just gotten Roxie we had an unexpected family emergency and my sister's young kids had to stay with us for a number of weeks. Roxanne wasn't treated well by her prior family and still hadn't even settled in comfortably with us yet either. We didn't know much about caring for a rescue back then and we felt like we needed to have her stay elsewhere until the kids moved back home. A relative of Zacks who boarded dogs but wasn't available then set us up with Zack and right away when I handed him the leash my uneasiness turned into relief! Maybe five or six weeks later when we go to pick Roxie up, Roxie had stopped hiding from behind my legs to stepping out (still a little shy, it'd be nearly a year until she'd become really confident) and sniffing unfamiliar guests. Zack really pays attention to the subtle but revealing behaviors of the dog. He was working with us, but really, he was working for our Roxie's well being and looking for her improved peace and sense of security. Couldn't recommend more highly, he's somebody who really, truly cares for your pet and respects that it's a living, loving creature!
