Growing up in split house holds, both respectfully always ensured that we never went a time without dogs. And so that meant that I never wasn’t in the presence of a dog, but more importantly, meant that I never got a break from the responsibility that comes with taking care of them. My lab that just recently passed had allergies his whole life, and so every morning he got his pill just like clock work. The only way my ADHD brain would remember is by setting alarms, which is something I’d utilize for your pets too! Whether that’s for medicine, or to feed, to be let out, etc.
