As an experienced pet sitter, what sets me apart is my genuine passion for ensuring your pet's total wellbeing and happiness during their stay. Of course I will provide excellent care by following your instructions for feeding, medications, exercise etc. But I go beyond just meeting their basic needs - I aim to keep them actively engaged, enriched, and feeling loved. My 10+ years caring for friends' and family's dogs of all sizes gives me the knowledge to keep pets stimulated physically and mentally. I don't just sit back and watch them - I'll play, train, cuddle, and give them undivided attention. My goal is for them to have as much fun as if you were there! While I don't currently have a pet due to apartment living, I adore dogs and cannot wait to bond with and pamper yours. I'll send photo updates so you can see how much fun we're having while you're away! You can trust me to keep your furry friend healthy, safe, and very happy.

When house sitting or pet sitting in a client's home, I follow all of their normal care instructions closely. I will stick to your pet's regular schedules for things like feeding, medications, exercise/potty breaks, and play time. If there are multiple pets, I make sure to give each individual attention and care based on their unique needs. I also reach out with any questions to make sure I'm providing care tailored to your pet's preferences. During walks and play time, I keep a close eye on dogs to monitor their safety and happiness. For cats and small animals, I make sure to freshen food/water, scoop litter, and interact with them so they feel comfortable and stimulated. I treat all homes and pets in my care with the utmost respect. I would communicate any issues promptly and send photo updates so owners have peace of mind. The most important things for me to know about your dog ahead of time include: - Age and breed - This provides insight into their activity levels, care needs, and any potential health issues. - Temperament - Understanding whether your dog is excitable, anxious, energetic or mellow allows me to properly interact with them. - Potty habits - How often do they need to go out? Do they signal or go to the door when they need to relieve themselves? Are they house trained? This helps me care for them appropriately. - Feeding schedule and diet - When and what you normally feed them is key. I want to maintain their routine and any special diet. - Medical needs - Letting me know of any medications, conditions, recent vet visits ensures I can address any health considerations. - Likes and dislikes - Knowing your dog's favorite toys, activities, foods or handling sensitivities helps me keep them happy and comfortable! - Training cues - Information on commands they know allows me to communicate effectively and reinforce their training during our time together. Having these details in advance allows me to provide customized care that caters to your dog's unique needs and personality!

I love finding fun ways to keep the dogs I care for engaged and enriched! Some of my go-to activities include: - Playing fetch and tug-of-war - Doing training sessions and reinforcing commands they already know - Giving them food puzzles or chew toys to stimulate their minds - Snuggling or brushing them while we relax together - Taking them on adventures to dog-friendly stores, outdoor patios, etc. For walks, I like exploring new neighborhood routes to keep things exciting. I may take them to a park with a dog-friendly lake or stream if that's okay with you of course! Most importantly, I adapt activities based on the individual dog's abilities, preferences and energy level. My goal is to keep them active, enriched and having fun each day!
