I am the owner of two rescue pups. They are my childrens. I grew up around dogs and have always held a deep respect for the species. Before I greet an owner, I greet the pup. Dogs bring an instantaneous, HUGE dumb smile to my face as soon as I see them. Dogs can tell that I'm a dog person as soon as they see (smell) me. I treat them with respect and we get along just fine. I believe that all dogs are good dogs and that it's up to us humans to help them make the right decisions in their every day lives. They protect us without us even explicitly asking them to, we must do our part to protect them as well.
