Pet care experience
I’m a loving and professional pet sitter with 15 years full time experience with all kinds of pets with dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, small reptiles & mammals, and horses. I ran a friendly pet care business in Kingwood, Texas near Houston called Pets Not Home Alone; the company was a member of Pet Sitters International with bonding & liability insurance. I recently retired the business to move to North Carolina to enjoy cooler weather, friendly people, and abundant nature; the Texas heat became too strong after 15 wonderful years in Kingwood. Pets Not Home Alone was known as a friendly and flexible service for clients who I knew as family. I completed all pet visits without hired help to build trust and love with all my pet friends. I usually visit dogs 2-4 times a day and offer overnight care with 1-2 visits during the day. Cats and other animals usually need 1-2 visits daily. Often I love to hang out with my furry friends and watch TV; many clients love having me stay with their pets, because they feel loved at home like their family never left 😊 Care can be given as needed with giving fresh water and food specific to their diet, letting dogs out or walking, and sharing lovings & pettings together. Medicines & shots can be administered as needed with clear instructions, and I send updates & photos while visiting. I have also competed Pet Sitters International’s Certified Professional Pet Sitter Program to learn about pet care for all types of animals. My favorite pets are dogs & cats and seen smaller animals & horses on occasion; every pet is different like us, and I find real joy in getting to know them ❤️

From experience, most dogs have a fenced in backyard we usually play in, but I learned this can vary in each neighborhood. If there’s no fenced yard, I always use a leash and prefer walking 1-2 dogs for large breeds, and 1-3 dogs for small breeds for a fun & calm experience; if we see others, we usually stay socially distant for safety. I like to alternate lights overnight and check for papers, mail, and packages, so your home looks well lived in. One of the advantages of having me stay overnight with your pets is to keep them calm & happy and deter others from seeing your home vacant; this ensures your pet babies are not home alone for too long 🧡

Availability
I can offer visits between 7am to 11pm each day. Before I sometimes came as early as 6am and as late at 12am in busy periods. Now with Rover, I prefer a part time schedule to give extra care, so we can take our time and get to know one another the best way. I love having a flexible & friendly schedule that’s healthy & kind 💛
