Pet care experience
Hello! While I am "only" 25, I have had 10 pets throughout my life and am VERY experienced with all personalities and sizes. With many pets comes a lot of experience. I have learned how to care for the energetic shepherd that hasn't learned his name to the older family dog that needs 24/7 care and will use that experience while watching your dog. I am a PhD student in molecular evolution at UCSB, so my schedule is very flexible -- most days I can leave work with ~1 hour notice! I am also very active and enjoy walking around town. If you decide to hire me, I would love to talk about how you care for your pet so I can emulate your tendencies as much as possible so your dog has a stable influence. Thank You!

There were always 2 or 3 dogs and 2 or 3 cats at Zac's house when he was a kid so he's very comfortable around animals. He has repeatedly experienced the energy of a puppy as well as the challenges of a sick or old dog. His patience, understanding and affection for animals along with his responsible nature make him a great pet sitter.
Zac is an extremely capable dog watcher. Having grown up with many dogs he has experience with all sizes, ages, breeds, etc. He knows what goes into caring for them and is a responsible person on top of that. I'd recommend .

no breed preferences!!! I love all dogs, mutts and pure-bread. All I would like to know are any personality quirks (mainly so I'm not confused when the dog is acting completely normal), potty-training, or medical issues to be aware of.
A typical day
Walks, fetch, tug of war -- whatever the dog likes! In terms of walks, I would probably start with something like walking the dog every hour/hour and a half, but if the dog seems anxious maybe go for longer, more frequent watches to tire them out!
