WFH girlie + fur friends

Pet care experience

For the past ten years, I've been dedicated to providing top-notch care for pets of all shapes and sizes. My journey in pet care began with a deep love for animals (and referrals from my mom's friends), which has only grown stronger over the years. With a decade of experience under my belt, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to ensure the well-being and happiness of your beloved companions. I am a new resident to San Diego and looking to spend some of my work time taking care of fur friends in the meantime. Throughout my years of pet care, I've developed a keen understanding of the unique needs of each pet, whether it's a playful puppy, a senior cat, or a feathery friend. From daily walks and feeding routines to grooming and medical care, I pride myself on delivering attentive and compassionate service tailored to meet the individual needs of every furry friend. My commitment to excellence extends beyond basic care. I prioritize building strong bonds with each pet through positive reinforcement, patience, and plenty of cuddles. Whether it's a comforting presence during your absence or a stimulating play session to keep them active and engaged, I strive to be a reliable and trusted companion for your pets. In addition to my hands-on experience, I stay updated on the latest pet care trends, techniques, and medical advancements to ensure the highest standard of care for your furry family members. With a decade of pet care experience behind me, you can rest assured that your pets are in capable and loving hands. When you entrust me with the care of your beloved pets, you're not just hiring a pet sitter or dog walker – you're welcoming a dedicated partner who shares your passion for animals and is committed to enriching their lives with love, attention, and quality care.

Yvette dog sat for me while I went to Italy for my daughters wedding, she stayed the night 8 nights and always sent photos updated multiple times a day. My dogs have a pretty extensive eating process and she exceeded our expectations. We take the dogs on very long walks in the am early and she made sure the dogs never got out of routine. I will forsure be booking with Yvette again, and even my neighbors are asking for her information! Thank you Yvette!

Yvette house sat and doggysat while we went out of town for the weekend! She did a wonderful job at taking care of our 10 pound poodle. She sent check in texts every few hours, took Coco on long walks, fed and groomed her, and left our house in great condition. We will definitely be working with Yvette again in the future!

Yvette's pet sitting for my pup, Pepperoncini, was exceptional. Her kindness and care were evident in every interaction with my fur-baby. She went above and beyond to ensure Pepperoncini felt loved and comfortable in her care and home. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my beloved pet! Pepperoncini can’t wait To spend more time with Yvette!

Information Yvette N. would like to know about your pet

Knowing important details about the pets I am watching ahead of time is crucial for providing the best care possible. Here are some key things to find out: Medical History: Any known medical conditions, allergies, or medications the pet may be on. Behavioral Quirks: Any specific behaviors to watch out for, such as fear of thunderstorms or separation anxiety. Dietary Needs: Their regular feeding schedule, dietary restrictions, favorite treats, and any food sensitivities. Exercise Requirements: How much exercise they need daily and what activities they enjoy most. Training Level: What commands they know, any training in progress, and the preferred training methods. Socialization: How they interact with other animals and people, including any preferences or aversions. Emergency Contacts: Contact information for their veterinarian and any other emergency contacts. Comfort Items: Favorite toys, blankets, or other comfort items that help them feel at ease. House Rules: Any specific rules or routines they follow in their home environment. Emergency Procedures: Instructions for handling emergencies, including what to do in case of illness or injury. By gathering this information beforehand, you can ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for both you and the pets. It also helps me anticipate their needs and provide personalized care.

A typical day

Watching pets can be a blast! Depending on the pet's preferences and energy levels, here are some fun activities I could do: Outdoor Adventures: Take dogs for walks, hikes, or trips to the dog park. Let them explore and sniff around. Interactive Play: Engage in interactive play with toys like balls, frisbees, or tug-of-war ropes. Cats might enjoy chasing laser pointers or feather toys. Training Sessions: Teach them new tricks or reinforce existing ones through positive reinforcement training. Puzzle Toys: Challenge their minds with puzzle toys or treat-dispensing toys. It's both mentally stimulating and rewarding. Cuddle Time: Some pets just want love and attention. Spend quality time cuddling and petting them. Homemade Treats: Get creative in the kitchen and make some homemade pet treats together. There are plenty of simple recipes online. Pet-friendly Games: Set up pet-friendly games like hide-and-seek or a treasure hunt for treats around the house or yard. Grooming Sessions: Taking them to the groomer when needed. Nature Watching: Set up a bird feeder or place a cozy spot by the window for pets to watch birds, squirrels, or other wildlife. Relaxation Time: Sometimes, pets just want to lounge around. Create a comfortable space with blankets or beds for them to relax while you read or watch TV.
