Hello! My name is Yvette - I'm 25 and just recently moved to the Tallahassee area from SWFL. I am currently unemployed studying for a Master's degree, so I will have all the time and availability to care for your pet. I believe pet-sitting is beneficial to all! To me, to the pet, and to the pet's parents. So whenever you think you're going to need to leave town where your pet cannot tag along, feel free to shoot me a message! I'm very flexible to most things, and I understand life happens fast and sporadically. I've had many customers whose sitting plans fall through the NIGHT BEFORE their flight, for example, and I was more than happy to meet with them that same night and establish a quick sitting plan. Please know this: I can completely relate to how difficult it is when you want to travel and there is no one available that you trust will take the best, most unique care of your pet. With your trust, I can be that person for you. On drop-in visits, I'll usually stop by and take them on potty breaks, feed them (if that's what the schedule calls for), stick around for a little while for some social interaction and/or playtime. In the event of a little accident from being alone at home for too long, I'm not afraid of/grossed out by any biological waste matter. During a home-stay, I'll temporarily move-in with your pet. I'll bring my own foods to cook with and clothes to change in, etc. Anything I use (with your permission and approval, of course), whether pots or pans, or towels, etc., I'll wash and put away. If you have me stay in a guest room/bed/couch, I'll wash/clean everything (even though you'll probably wash/clean again). If you must know, I'm very well-organized and mannered. So you don't have to worry about finding the TV remote in the bathroom, or spices from the spice cabinet in with the forks or even in the fridge. If you'd like, I'll even retrieve your mail and stack them in the center of the dining table or wherever is visible to you when you walk in. I'm good with alarm systems (at not setting them off mostly), and I'll take out your trash/recycling on Trash Day if you'd like. I usually leave notes after every service to brief you on how the week went and if anything was note-worthy. But as a worry-wort myself, I can understand the preference of wanting to be more frequently updated. If you prefer, I can text you images of how your pet is doing and of their silly adventures, or just regular update texts saying if all is well or out of the ordinary. One thing you MUST know: As you may have noticed in my gallery, I have a wonderful pup, Murphy. He’s a black mouth cur/hound mix, currently 4 years old. Rescued after the Louisiana Flood of 2016, Murphy was adopted from the Gulf Coast Humane Society in September 2016. As of 2019, Murphy is up-to-date on all his vaccines, including rabies, and is on monthly flea/tick/heart worm prevention. During house sitting services, its important that Murphy tags along as my sidekick sitter seeing as I will not be able to leave him alone. A few things about Murphy: he’s the most respectable dog I’ve ever met. He does not bark, pee/poop in the house (he won’t even potty on a dirt trail that he knows everyone walks on). He gets along with every dog he’s ever met - even if they don’t get along with him or don’t want to be around him, he will never disrespect or attack. He knows his limits and respects others’ limits. He gets along with cats (in fact, he's very intrigued by them) and does not bother any other living creatures (rabbits, lizards, armadillos, turtles, flies, etc.). He is very careful where he walks and lays down, so he will not disorganize or dishevel anything. And one thing I am very proud of, he respects anything on any surface INCLUDING FOOD! I know, right?
