Hi, I'm Yuri! I'm from Southern California, I grew up with a beautiful cocker spaniel rescue named Starling. I know what it's like for a pet to be part of the family--to see them in Christmas cards, yearly family photos, everything! I moved to NYC in 2015 to start school at NYU, which meant leaving my dear pup behind! I often take care of my friends' dogs and cats here in the city, my biggest joy is seeing them feeling happy and loved! I'm currently taking a gap year which opens up my availability to full-time. I can do visits, walks, in-home sitting, day care, and boarding. I live with three other NYU students/close friends of mine who are warm, loving ladies that also grew up with dogs and other animals. We just adopted a 4 month old terrier mix pup and we're working on training and socializing her! She's super sweet and playful. I live in a 1st floor, 4 bedroom apartment in Stuy Town in the East Village--a lovely, pet-friendly neighborhood. Your pup is more than welcome to hang out in my bedroom or the living room. I am also willing to travel to your home for sitting if you're located in Manhattan. If you have a particular guide for care, I'm happy to follow it. I understand and respect needs for specificity and individual attention. I am perfectly situated near the East River and the East Village, which means your dog and I can go for jogs by the riverside or head to the dog parks at Stuyvesant Square and Tompkins Square Park, both within a ten minute walk of my apartment. I can tailor what I do to your dog's needs. We can be fun and active, going on walks and jogging, or we can relax with cuddles inside. I'm available for drop ins and walks on weekdays in the East Village and Union Square areas, but on Mondays and Wednesdays I'm available in Greenwich/West Village as well. Safety is extremely important to me and I'll never leave dogs unsupervised, I limit walks to 2-3 dogs at a time with compatibility in mind. I'll happily send updates and pictures, and provide lots & lots of affection and attention to your dog(s)! My dog back home is a cocker spaniel so I'm VERY familiar with administering eye drops, ear solutions/ear wipes, and I also have administered her oral liquid medications.
