My name is Yulissa, I’m 21 years old, and I am a student at IUS pursuing a Biology degree specializing in Forestry and minoring in animal biology. I volunteered for the Louisville Zoo when I was in high school due to my passion to care for and be around animals. I’ve had all different kinds of animals throughout my childhood, like dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, turtles, fish, crabs, and I currently have two crested geckos called hazel and drizzle. The reason why I want to work at this occupation is to earn extra money to pay for school, as many know it can get expensive when paying out of pocket, and what better way to do it than doing what you love?
