Hello! My name is Yeammy and I'm a dog mom! Ever since I was a little girl I LOVED dogs, but I couldn't have one because I was allergic to anything with fur. Slowly but steady I overcame my allergies (maybe because I wanted one so bad) and by the time I was in high school, my family surprised me with an adorable poodle! I had him for about 10 years and it was amazing to care for another living thing other than yourself. Later on, I decided to have another pet even when I knew I was going to move to another country. I didn't care about the challenge I was about to face, and I was determined to take her with me wherever I go, so she came to the US with me 4 years ago. During that time (and since I had a lot of time in my hands) I volunteered in the local shelter for about 2 years. It was an amazing experience that taught me to see the happiness in the little things in life, and also who I could make a difference in the life of animals with simple but meaningful gestures. So, yes. The little girl in me wakes up every time I see a dog or a cat!
