Pet care experience
I have loved being around animals as far back as I can remember. These days I have three of my own- Zuko, a 9 year old terrier mix, Ghost, a 2 year old sphynx, and Lilith, a veiled chameleon. Outside of my personal life as a pet parent, I also have over 14 years of dog walking and pet sitting experience. I've been trusted to care for a range of dogs and cats, as well as several species of exotic pets. While I've definitely got the basics down, I know that each pet is different, and my number one priority is to care for your pet the same way you would.

Yasmine was everything you could ask for in a dogsitter! Sent photo updates without me asking for them which was super awesome. Took Bear out on long walks and I could tell from his photos he was happy and getting exercise! I have never left my dog with someone before (other than a family member) so I was sad and nervous but hoped for the best in his stay with someone he wasn't used to. It was so reassuring to see how happy and well cared for he was by Yasmine and her roommates. It definitely put my mind at ease while I was traveling for work. I can tell she really cared and loved Bear in my absence and he definitely got the attention he needed. Thanks so much Yasmine, I will definitely be booking Bear's stays with you from now on :)

Yasmine was great with my dog Zuzu. I was worried at first because Zuzu is a bit anxious but she seemed so happy and playful with her. I got plenty of pictures and updates and would definitely recommend!

My highest priority is to maintain a safe and stress-free environment for any pet in my care. To do that it's important to build trust first, a process that I know can vary from pet to pet. Generally, I like to follow a few simple rules- keep still, move slow, let the pet set the pace, give them space and time, and most importantly follow the owners advice/ instructions. And, of course, treats help too! Fortunately most pets warm up to me quickly, and it's mostly about getting it right those first few meetings.

A typical day
I live in a lively neighborhood, directly across from Prospect Park, that is great for walks. I am only 3 blocks away from a dog park where you can expect me to laugh and take plenty of pictures as your dog runs and plays happily. If you live in a different neighborhood I'll still be sure to plan out some good walking routes there, or if you prefer I can simply follow your typical routes and routines.

Availability
I'm currently working part time with plenty of time for dog walking and pet sitting. I plan the majority of my work week out 7-10 days in advance, but I always leave a little wiggle room for last minute changes and urgent booking requests.
