Pet care experience
Hi there! Thank you for looking into my profile! :) I'm very energetic and enthusiastic and I'm as passionate as you can get when it comes to our furry friends. I have lived with animals since I was 5 years old and I'm that person that will compliment you on the streets for your furry baby! In 2018 I quit my high-stress job in tech and have never been happier. Since then, I've done pet sitting, dog walking, boarding, and day care. Because of COVID, I put a pause and started working in shelters. While working in animal welfare, I got my Dog Trainer certification (KPA-CTP certification # 28357) and now have a dream remote job working for Best Friends Animal Society. Drop-in visits - these visits usually are for cats or other pets that don't require to be walked. Nevertheless, I also do drop-in visits for dogs if that is what you want (and I can do a walk or 2 during that time). I will spend 30 min with your baby(ies) and during that time, I'm at your service. I can play, clean their mess, bring in mail, etc. Please note that if you have a very skittish and terrified cat, I will most likely not recommend I stay the full 30 min and will base my decision on their level of stress and comfort with me. I look forward to speaking with you and meeting your baby! :)
Reviews
Yael, I'm convinced, is the best sitter on this website! She has been so caring and considerate about everything regarding our cat each and every time she has watched her. We appreciate everything she does for us, and would recommend her to anyone who needs a pet sitter who goes above and beyond!
Yael is so responsive, professional and super caring with our kitty. We feel 100% confident leaving our kitty in her hands!
Yael is the best! We really appreciate her genuine care for our puppy, and the extra attention she gives to make sure he stays on track with his training. She is also very knowledgeable and a source of information and resources for us. We look forward to having her in our lives and our dog's life for a long while to come!
Thank you for always taking great care of Arya!

As a behavior specialist and having experience working with incredibly high-stressed animals in the shelter, my goal is to clearly read your animal and understand what they are saying through their body language. I adapt to them and their needs, even if they change with each visit.

Information Yael O. would like to know about your pet
Some important things are: - energy levels - regular behavior and atypical behavior noted before - favorite treat/toy/scratching spot - likes and dislikes - fears and favorites - anything you would like help with behaviorally
A typical day
I like to adapt to your fur baby and what they want. If your dog wants a fast-paced walk, then that's what we will do. If they want to sniff the world, then that is OK too as mental stimulation is as important as physical exercise. With your cat, I'll see how they feel in each visit. Sometimes they want you there and at times it is clear that they would feel better if you are not there. I want to make sure that they feel safe and loved, so what they say rules.

Part of my passion for working in Animal Welfare is helping pets stay in their homes. This is done by having trustworthy people assist when you need it most, being regular care or training! My job is remote, so I have a lot of control over my own schedule.
