A Pet's Grandma (Minus the Age)

Pet care experience

Who am I? Have you ever seen the movie Trolls? Talking about Poppy, specifically. Yeah, that's me! (And sometimes I am more of a Sid from Ice Age, but moving on...) So you know the story where I say I grew with animals (exotic and not), lots of volunteer work, yep! Me, again. What you really want to know who I am as a pet nanny, so read on! Inside and outside my professional pet care career, I have seen the good, the bad, and the dirty side of pets. I empathize with you when you realize you have to allow a stranger in your pet's life because we can't always be there. I have been the pet owner, so do not be scared to mention to me anything you are particular about! With that being said, believe me when I say that my transparency and kindness are two of the biggest things I can give you to make you feel comfortable while leaving your pets with me! I know every animal is different, so I have plenty of leniency for pets that are not the "perfect pet." And this only grazes the tip of the iceberg, so ask me any & all questions! I like to keep this as general as possible so you aren't just reading about me; it gives us something to talk about during our meet and greet. For the large breed owners: I grew up with mastiffs and thrive with taking on the dogs that others may deem as a "challenge." We both know they're potatoes, most of the time. If you have a 100+ pound dog, you have my automatic yes! Some things worth noting: -I don't do holiday rates. If I decide I want to be available, it's for fun! -I don't mind early starts or ending the days late. We are working with works for your fur baby! -Sometimes I find that I can't say yes to every request, but there is a low chance I will say no. -I don't normally get requests outside the typical dog and cat, but know that I am happy to do so! -My rates can change (but the chances are so, so low, don’t fret!) depending on the energy levels of your fur babies, the number of pets, and your needs from me, but we can always discuss these in detail during our meet and greet. (Meet/ greets also include you sharing the expectations you have for me!). Cat rates aren’t definite because their needs can be minimal (meaning rates will do down depending on the service). To make it very clear, they will NOT change without a formal discussion. Coronavirus concerns: I am very careful about who I hang out with + fully vaccinated! Important note: Your reviews are very much appreciated! I read every single one of them and I can't express how happy they make me. Not only is this helpful for potential clients but it lets me know that I did keep you and your pet happy!

Xitlalli is exactly as she appears: the sweetest, spunkiest pet sitter. She absolutely loves animals and is always excited to meet a new one on any occasion. She has been working with animals her whole life and she wants a career taking care of them. Though she may love animals more than people she is very attentive to the owners and sends them regular updates. An example of a perfect young professional wanting to grow their business. You can always feel secure leaving your pet with Xitlalli because she truly does treat them like family. An amazing person and a great sitter!

Lou came back the happiest pup he has ever been (and pooped as can be!) He had the best time playing with his 2 best friends! Xitalli is the MOST flexible sitter ever! She sends updates with pictures and videos that will make your day. If you need your pup to stay with someone, look no further!!

Such a sweetheart! Xitlalli went above and beyond with her visit/walk. Updated me about everything and made me feel secure knowing my fur baby was in good care! She also came to my house before hand and walked with us together to get the feel for things. Will deffinatley be using her again in the future!

Information Xitlalli I. would like to know about your pet

I would really appreciate knowing any dislikes your pet may have, such as food, activities, noises, or approaches. Do you want me to avoid people/ pets or do you encourage interactions? What about allergies? Food aggression or toy possessive? Please, spill the tea on that! What about some favorite things? Is your pet a fetch fanatic or a couch potato? Favorite toy? Walk lover?

A typical day

What's my style? I love to keep your pet(s) as active as possible, so you can relax with them when you and your pet reunite! Depending on the weather, I will take dogs out in the morning and evening for at least 30 minutes. If it is not too hot, then three! If you provide treats and/ or are comfortable with me giving them veggies + fruits, in safe amounts, I love to do review sessions on what your pet knows. I love reminding them how great they're doing and letting them know that I am someone they can trust. Sometimes there isn't much to fill in the time with pets, so I do a bit of grooming to give your fur babies a little massage. With that being said, feel free to lend me your pet's brush and we can do that! If not, no worries because I have a (pet) brush of my own to use. Boarding: I do live in an apartment. However, I live on the same block as a park, which is where we will spend a good amount of the day if needed. (: Besides that, the routine is just about the same as house sitting. Play with toys, fetch, whatever your pup wants! I do like to enforce nap times when I notice the dog is avoiding sleep when they are clearly tired. This is mostly directed at the labradors who never fail to be energetic pups. (I still think they are one of the greats, so there is no shade here). Dog Walking: Walks can be the most exciting adventures for any dog, so I do my best to mix in a little bit of jogging, if the dog wants, and walking. If your dog doesn't have a walking route/ preference, I like to mix it up and take some different turns to keep your dog entertained. The only time I use my phone during walks is to keep track of the time or to capture a few pictures of your pup, so please do not worry if I do not update you until the end. The goal is to be aware of everything going on in case I need to walk in another direction. This is mostly for walking requests. I have had repeated clients where I have a lot of trust in the dog and I am guilty of texting a bit, but I always sure that most of my attention is on the dog. This mostly applies to dog walking requests, I have no issues with feeding your pet as well! This isn't extra since it is usually a quick feed and go. For some owners, they prefer that I hang out a bit after as well, so don't hesitate to ask me to add some playtime in too! I truly find that this is also a great way for your dog and I to bond, so this is NOT a problem at all. (:
