Pet care experience
I’m a singer, dancer, and actor originally from Texas living the American dream. Before moving to NYC, I worked on a ranch caring for many dogs and horses. I’m very comfortable dealing with multiple animals at once and responding swiftly to any emergencies or high stress situations. Even though I love this bustling, energetic city, I do miss being surrounded by different kinds of animals due to the obvious limitations of the urban jungle. But living next to Central Park gives me the illusion that I have the most beautiful and bountiful backyard! My lovely wife and I have a gentle and loving Labrador Retriever named Hershey, and she is truly the center of our universe. We see Hershey as our child and we would welcome your beloved pup as one of our own. Hershey is super friendly and happy and can come on a little strong at first, but that’s because she loves new people, animals, and experiences. But after about five minutes, she calms down and acts like she’s known you all her life. She’s never aggressive, just super excited. I’ve worked with dogs professionally for many years and am familiar with administering oral meds, eye drops, and insulin shots to dogs. I never worked at a shelter but have taken in strays to help find them their owners or find new homes. My parents still cares for a couple of dogs I found wandering the streets many years ago and now are part of my extended family. I can’t stand the idea that a dog will suffer or go hungry––to me they epitomize love, loyalty, and joy. When I'm not pet sitting, I will either be auditioning or taking classes, so my schedule is mostly flexible and adaptable. I also attend college at the Harvard Extension school so I spend a lot of time doing school work at home. I’m very hardworking, dependable, and kind, and being able to care for other people’s pets is a privilege I don’t take lightly. I try to be the best dog dad to Hershey, so a playmate for her would be just a bonus. My wife and I feel so lucky that we live so close to Central Park, it doesn’t really feel like we’re living in one of the largest cities in the world. We’ve carved out a little swath that feels like home with the most enviable landscaping. Hershey and I hit the park every day, multiple times a day, so your pup will get plenty of exercise and fresh air. I love throwing the ball around, so we can spend a lot of time playing catch/fetch, or we can also visit one of the many dog runs nearby to burn off some energy. Then we’ll come home for some belly rubs or nap time while I catch up on some school work. My wife is home after work and on the weekends, so your pup will never be alone. I have huge dream and goals, but I also know how to stay grounded and thankful for my family and the little pleasures in life.

Xavier was right on time for my dogs walk. He took him for a nice long walk (even though it was cold out) and gave him food and water upon his return. He sent three pictures and updated me after the walk ended. Thanks!
Xavier was great with Zoey. Thank you!
I travel for a living and knowing Xavier was there to watch my dogs always made me feel a little more comfortable on my trips. When I bought a new puppy he went above and beyond to make sure that I was kept informed of everything that was going on back home. I'm so grateful to have had Xavier work for me for as long he did!
Xavier is a fantastic person and was so amazing when he worked at my property. He was always on time to take care of my animals and always treated them with such love. He always kept me updated on everything when I was out of town and never had a doubt that they were in good hands. I definitely recommend him to watch your dogs or any animal you have for that matter.

Information Xavier A. would like to know about your pet
What makes me unique is my ability to stay calm in all types of situations and that I give 110% effort in everything I do, which includes being the best pet sitter in the entire metro area. I will always answer messages as quickly as possible, and I will follow up with regular updates. Unless indicated, you can expect to hear from me three times a day with photos, videos, and texts. I want you to feel connected to your pup even if you’re hundreds of miles away. I think a meet and greet is a wonderful way to get acquainted and your dog can meet Hershey. This is a convenient opportunity for me to ask questions regarding your dog’s needs and habits, likes and dislikes, and you can pepper with me your concerns. I believe in transparency and open communication, so the more I know, the better care and service I can provide.

My neighborhood is fun and surprisingly calm. My neighbors are families with children so it does not get loud or rowdy. We live on 73rd St. and although we don't have a backyard (who in Manhattan does?), we live right next to Central Park so your dog will not be sorry. We will take some walks, play with toys, eat yummy meals together, and watch TV. I am happy to rearrange my schedule so that your pup is not alone for more than an hour and a half. Our sweet Hershey will also be home, so there will always be a playmate close by. Being an actor in NYC, I make my own schedule and taking care of your dog will be my number one priority.
