I have been working with cats and dogs for over 10 years, from watching my neighbors dog to volunteering at animal shelters, and also working with my own dogs with their own training as well as rescuing and fostering neonatal kittens. I've worked as an Emergency and Critical Care Veterinary Technician for 6, going on 7 years and I live 5 mins from an emergency vet hospital in case of emergencies. I would love to bond with your furry baby and give you peace of mind with whatever plans you have :)

Xanthia is awesome! She is super personable, caring, and sweet, and clearly knows what she's doing when it comes to animals (she works in the veterinary field and fosters! It doesn't get much better than that!). My pup Ollie has bad dog reactivity and I was very stressed about finding a sitter for him when my previous one canceled last minute. Xanthia was super understanding and took Ollie on when many other sitters declined after hearing about his reactivity. It was so relieving and I know Ollie had a great time with her and her cats, and I definitely plan on contacting her again in the future when I need a sitter. Thanks so much Xanthia!
Our pups had a great time with Xanthia! She was wonderful and flexible.
She was always responsive and sent many pictures of my dog. Always felt at ease with her watching him as he is a very shy dog.

I live in a very quiet neighborhood for the most part in Loch Raven, I take dogs for walks based on weather (really important as it heats up) and pay attention to the little things to avoid emergencies :)

From a behavior side I like to know whether or not they are OK with cats because I do have four cats and from a medical standpoint I like to know if there’s any pertinent medical information that I need as well as any medication’s and what they would like in case of an emergency.
A typical day
I’d like to spend the first day getting to know a dogs, personality and energy level and then kind of go from there whether they’re high energy I need to play tug-of-war and fetch and I have five walks a day just to get that energy out or if they are more low energy and really just want to two walks and cuddle time.

Availability
I am currently out on ADA leave for PTSD from a traumatic work event so being able to still see animals daily is what’s getting me through the healing process, at most right now I’m out of the hours 4-6 hours maybe once a week? The most exciting thing has been going outside to tan during the sunny and 75 degree days.
