Pet care experience
Pet care has been the most enjoyable and fulfilling work I’ve found in my 27 years - I am definitely *living the dream*. For over a decade, I’ve been the family friend to call on when in need of a helping hand with the fur children. I have always had such a soft spot for doggos of all breeds and sizes. In February of 2022, I moved to Austin and started working with Rover “while looking for something more serious”, which quickly snowballed into a two year +, full-time pet care career. I offer both daycare and boarding services out of my home in Circle C. We have fully-fenced, ~1/4 acre, all lawn backyard, perfect for playing fetch and chasing tails. Our furniture is 100% glorified dog bed (pets are allowed on furniture) and I take dog-proofing as seriously as first time parents take baby-proofing. We try to offer the “home away from home” experience to your fur babies, making them feel as comfortable as possible and treating them like our own. No kennels or cooped up pups around here. My partner Grant and I both work from home and are both the epitome of “homebodies” in our free time, so it’s very rare our pups are ever left unattended. We are early risers and go to sleep fairly early, so we ask that drop off or pick up occur within the hours of 7AM and 7 PM. I always send lots of pictures and updates throughout your pups stay! I can accommodate any special requests you may have such as: medication administration, bathing, walking... You name it. I keep my calendar updated well in advance and respond to all messages within the hour (most often, immediately). Whether you need care just for the day or overnight, I would love to be your go-to gal whenever your furry friends need!

Rizzo had a blast. Communication was good and plenty of photos and videos. Would definitely use her again.
Xandria did a wonderful job boarding my dogs! It was my first time leaving them and she patiently took note of all of my special requests and concerns. She even sent daily updates and pics which were greatly appreciated! Both dogs were happy and healthy when I picked them up. I’ll definitely be booking her again 😊
Xandria was great, very responsive, sent photos, and kept us updated. Our sweet girl loved her stay. We are extremely grateful. Definitely would use again.
Xandria took excellent care of my dog Roo! She sent photos and videos everyday and I felt so comfortable the whole time away. I highly recommend booking your pup a stay with Xandria!

Safety, trust & environment
You need a Rover sitter that you can trust to be professional and treat your fur baby like their own. While it is often "fun and games", I take my work seriously, emphasizing punctuality, communication and going the extra mile whenever possible. I love to send frequent updates with photos and videos of your furry friend, and even consider myself quite the pet-photographer. Your pet will have new furry friends and two caring humans to socialize with, lots of play time, a cozy and safe space, and their every need attended to here with us.

Information Xandria L. would like to know about your pet
Please do let me know of any special instructions you may have regarding caring for your pet and their unique likes, dislikes, quirks, etc.! Important things to know about your pets: How does your pet warm up to strangers? Do they play well with other dogs? Are they 100% house trained? Have they marked others homes to your knowledge? Do they experience separation anxiety? Do they sleep in the same room as you? Do you crate them at home? Have they ever been destructive when you’ve left the house? Do they eat all at once or do you leave food out for them to graze? Are they spayed/neutered?
A typical day
I'd love to take your pup on several walks throughout the day, or get them some extra exercise by taking them out to a dog park or hiking trail. I'd be very happy to help you and your pup with training (and/or un-training) certain behaviors, as needed. I love to take on the challenge of dog training and have been very successful with working with my own to potty train, leash train, and learn fun tricks, too! I would be very happy to take on a puppy or even teach your old dog some new tricks, given nothing but time and their favorite treats.

Availability
I consider pet care my full time career. It's the only job I'd ever do 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. I work from home as a virtual assistant with a flexible schedule, but otherwise, my life is all about the pups.
