I started as a volunteer dog walker because I find such joy in spending time with animals. I have had training by the organization Helping Hounds to care for dogs of every size with a wide range of temperaments. I have dog sit for many friends before and most every dog I meet takes kindly to me almost immediately. After several months of volunteer work as a dog walker I feel that my skills in addressing the individual needs of a dog has been developed and that I am ready to help with every kind of dog. Although my current pet is an elderly cat who is very fearful of dogs, I am not and working for Rover would give me the opportunity to continue to engage with dogs without terrifying my own pet.
