Hi there! We are Steve, Win, and Howard. We are a diverse family who have all grown up with pets. We took some time off because our 16 and 13 year old cats both passed within the last year and it was heartbreaking. We’ve not adopted yet, but a neighborhood cat “Carmella” has adopted us, and we allow her to come inside from time to time. My son Howard is a seasoned dog walker, neighborhood pet sitter and currently works at BarK! Tons of references. He’s a senior at UMKC, studying Biology. We lost our pup Drake, a Lab-mix about 3 years ago but have started traveling more so aren't quite ready to be full-time doggie parents again. Hanging out with your sidekick would be a well-missed pleasure for all of us. Steve works from home full time, I work remote part-time, and Howard is a student at UMKC and (as I mentioned) works at BarK so your fur baby will receive lots of attention in our care. Howard has offered to take any dog we care for to work with him (with your approval and the $15 BarK fee). We live in a 135-year-old historic home in Pendleton Heights with access to tons of green space and trails. Kessler Park is only a block and a half away! We have a very small fenced-in backyard that would be suitable for small dogs on their own, but not large. We did not crate our dog but will do so upon request. Pets ARE allowed on furniture, unless you specify otherwise. Working remotely gives us plenty of time with your pups! We have a couple of standing obligations throughout the week, but nothing that would take us away more than 2-4 hours. We have a very small fenced-in backyard for smaller pups. Most of the time your pet will be inside with us or walking/riding alongside us.
