Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Bill. I've raised four dogs from puppyhood over my lifetime. Max, Buddy, and Molly, who were all Black Labs... and Bo, a German Shorthair Pointer mix, who is now six years old.
Reviews
We have a Chiweenie who is an affectionate but very Velcro boy. We cannot leave him alone for long so finding William was such a relief! The shared pictures showed our dog at peace (stuck to William of course). Could not be happier with the personal attention given our little guy.
I totally agree with one of the other reviewers, 5 stars does not seem adequate! Bill and his wife Linda are lovely people and absolutely amazing sitters!! And their dog Bo is so sweet, friendly and welcoming! I could not be happier and more grateful with the care that my dog Griffin received with them. I haven’t had to use a dog sitter in years now working from home, and was a little anxious about finding the right fit, especially for boarding. We set up an initial meet & greet and my anxiety vanished the moment we met. Griffin felt at ease the minute he jumped out of the car, and was happy and very comfortable in both their home and their yard. He even used their wonderful doggy door with a little gentle encouragement from Bill. On the actual weekend of boarding, they sent regular updates with amazing photos showing just how content and happy he was! They went above and beyond in supporting his needs and comfort in every way the entire weekend. I highly recommend them and will continue to bring him in the future! Thank you!!
Five stars seems inadequate—William is a FANTASTIC sitter! Our usual sitter couldn't take our senior citizen bulldog (Mabel), which is what brought us to Rover. A few days before bringing her over, Mabel was diagnosed with some concerning health issues and given medication. William and his wife administered all medications, helped Mabel feel at home right away, provided regular updates (with photos!), and, most importantly to me, treated our Mabel as one of their own: she was very clearly loved and given all of the affection and attention she is used to getting at home. I truly cannot sing the praises of William and his wife enough—we may even begin scheduling a day here and there just so she can visit and play with their sweet dog, Bo, who also proved to be a fine companion for Mabel. (I think she misses him a little—each time we said "Bo" after picking her up, her ears went up and she looked all around for him!) Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, William (and Linda!) P.S. They also washed Mabel's blankets before pickup—they are truly unbelievably wonderful sitters!
Maggie came home tired and with a big, happy, head-out-the-window smile from playing with her new friend at Bill's yesterday. It's not easy for me to leave her with anyone but I'd recommend Bill's in a second. It's a good, safe environment with plenty of running room. And the update pics were a great touch. Thanks, Bill!
