Active sitter for pets of all sizes

Pet care experience

I had dogs and cats in my household for my entire childhood. As an adult, I have a 4 year old GSD (Piper) and like to keep her active as much as I can every day. As long as your dog or kitty are comfortable around Piper and me, I would love to take care of them to give you some you time! We love our fur kids, but all need a break sometimes for business or personal reasons. I will treat your pet as if they were my own and make sure their needs are met! I am comfortable caring to the special training and/or health needs your pup may require. Looking forward to getting to know you and your pet better!

Will and his partner are really lovely people and we were so thankful for them opening their home up to our two pups! We really appreciated getting to let our dogs meet his in a park nearby before arranging an overnight stay and felt completely confident they would be in great hands. They were super kind and patient with our older dog who can have accidents on occasions. We look forward to sending the fur children over for more stays in the future!

Our lab Lucy loves the company of people and dogs. She immediately felt right at home with William and Piper. William was great - very friendly, communicative and accommodating. He took Lucy out on long neighborhood walks and sent us photos of her. William will certainly be the first person we ask to take care of Lucy next time we need to leave town.

I am happy to support crate training or not based on your preferences. I used to crate my dog but no longer do, though I still have her crate available to use. Outside, I have a private backyard available for potty breaks and play throughout the day. I am currently reconstructing the fence, so if your baby is an escape artist I will be sure to leash them in the back yard (as well as on walks, of course). Please also let me know how you feel about dog parks! Piper loves going to them, but I will not go to them while I am watching your pup if that is your preference!

Information William M. would like to know about your pet

Are they crate-trained? Should I be extra mindful about marking or anxiety? What are their normal sleeping & eating situations? Are they accustomed to getting up on furniture at your place? Will they enjoy going to the dog park with Piper and me or should we plan to keep things a bit more low-key (either is fine)?

A typical day

I often walk Piper around the Upper Queen Anne neighborhood. We also go to dog parks and around the city to restaurants/bars with patios frequently.

Availability

My partner and I both work remotely, so we are both typically around nearly all day during the week. At a minimum, we go out for a quick potty walk in the morning and at least one bigger walk after work (we often play fetch in the park nearby when the weather is nice). Since we are at home while working, the dogs are welcome to as many backyard potty breaks as they need throughout the day. On the weekends we try to bring Piper along on as many of our errands or adventures as we can!
