What I Offer - *meet and greet - long walks - fetch - baths - administration of medication if requested (ear drops, flea, tic medication) - entertainment (belly rubs, back scratches, light training - I will consider any other requests I grew up in the country side in Northern California. I have owned (family-owned) three dogs including a Jack Russell Terrier, an English Springer Spaniel, and a Great Dane. Edna, the Great Dane, was rescued, untrained and timid, and brought into our family. It took some time to get her comfortable with human contact, especially with large men like me, but now she won't leave me alone whenever I go back home. I am capable of reining a large dog who is getting out of hand without being too aggressive. I am also very gentle with small pets. My experience with dogs has a lot do to with hunting and bird retrieving, but I don't necessarily have to be out in the sticks to take care of an animal. I am patient, meaning I will take the time to teach your pet a trick or remove stickers or foxtails from the ears or fur. I have far more experience with dogs than cats, but I am plenty comfortable taking care of a cat. Your pet will get plenty of exercise with me, but not overworked. On walks, I will pay attention closely to the "panting" rate and stop frequently for water breaks. I will clean up any messes your pet makes as well. I don’t own any pets at the moment. I’m hardly home, and that would bother me while owning a pet. I still need animals in my life in some capacity.
