From the day I was born I have fallen in love with all pets, especially dogs. In fact, I was even named after a dog (well, my middle name at least). Throughout my entire life I have gotten to know three Newfoundland dogs especially well. Otis, the one I am named after, passed away right before I was born and was a whopping, still healthy, 160 pounds! Next came Hubey, a smaller yet loving and caring Newf. At 10 he took a journey into the sky. My family went a month until we decided the grieving was too intense and we found an energetic puppy whom we named Homer. Sadly, homer became incredibly sick at 6 years old and we were forced to put him down. Immediately after we decided to move on from the puppy world and got a 5 year old Newfoundland named Nola. She is still here with us today and is incredibly gentle and caring. I have taken my dogs on walks for hours or even just small little jaunts around the neighborhood. If a dog enjoys swimming, I love taking them to little rivers or lakes on hot days. All in all, I personally feel dogs are the greatest animals to ever grace this earth and I look forward to meeting yours!
