I am almost as good as your dog.
Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Wilkie and I'm an architecture student at UT. The services I have the most experience in are walking dogs and doing drop-ins. I have been doing this professionally since starting college and have walked my own dog at my parent's house since I was in middle school. My own dog is a blind pitbull-lab mix who has an alpha-female personality. My dog, along with the hundreds of others I have walked, have given me experience with a very wide range of personalities. I will also have plenty of time over the summer for dog-sitting. My experience with pet sitting is primarily from people taking care of my dog at home, so I understand the uneasy feeling that can come with trusting in someone else to care for your pet. Whether it's a short walk or a week-long summer stay, I will have a great time caring for your dogs and will make sure to keep you as updated as possible before, during, and after the service.
Reviews
Wilkie has been the dog walker for Rudy and Livee for the past several months and he has done a GREAT job. He is very kind to the dogs, and arrives on time for every appointment. He is very courteous and careful - I highly recommend him.
I proudly nominate Wilkie M., a current student at the University of Houston School of Architecture, as both highly capable and innately equipped to serve above reproach as a canine care-taker, under the employ of A Place for Rover, Inc., commonly known as Rover. According to The Bureau of Reliability and Trustworthiness, Wilkie M.'s Reliatrueâ„¢ rating consistently scores at or above the 98th percentile of all Americans, regardless of age, gender, political affiliation, or middle name.* Wilkie's middle name is Dominik, given to him 19 years ago after his German brother-in-law, Dominik. From a strictly ancestral perspective, Wilkie is 50% German. However, some of the world's foremost geneticists believe that Wilkie is, in fact, 98% German. This belief is bolstered by the uncanny parity between certain system dependability indicators shared by both Wilkie and Germany's national rail system (Deutsche Bahn AG). These indicators are commonly referred to as "The 3 P's": Precision, Punctuality, and Performance. In addition to his personal character, Wilkie has also gained extensive experience attending to the physical and emotional needs of almost every breed of dog. He was raised in a home with two rambunctious, yet lovable Pit Bull Terriers. Tasked with the responsibility of their daily exercise, Wilkie has mastered essential areas of competence including: Canine Conflict Avoidance, Double Dog Dare, Blind Dog's Bluff, and Stop & Sniff. Wilkie's experience in the Dog Arts is not only confined to his home, however. During a recent time of being (once again) confined to his home, he impressively employed his skill set among friends and neighbors, one of whom was my employer. ... Okay, I just realized that I could have saved a lot of time by simply stating this powerful and telling fact: I trusted my son enough, that, without hesitation, I proudly recommended him as a dog walker to my employer during a time when the last thing you want to do is to give your employer a reason to let you go. *I made up the thing about The Bureau of Reliability and Trustworthiness and Reliatrueâ„¢
