Groomer, vet tech, & kennel worker

Pet care experience

I grew up on a farm in KY with lots of animals. I started working at a boarding kennel in high school and later my senior year at the vet clinic. I always had a love for animals. I trained multiple dogs in obedience training through 4-H in high school. I decided to go to Murray State University to do their 4 year Animal Health Technology program for small and large animals. During attending college I helped at Animal Service with walking dogs and rescuing a couple from being put down. I also worked for a groomer the entire time of college until I graduated. During that time I did house sit for multiple people with farms or just multiple dogs. I got married and moved to Tennessee and worked with a vet there. I helped watch a few animals there but most importantly I spent time caring for orthopedic animals and ones that needed time to learn to walk again. We moved to Huntsville and I worked for another vet and found more people that used me on holidays. I cared for cats for many older clients while out of town. I helped others with multi family dogs and one that needed medicine daily. I am very good with dogs and even training if needed. I do photography but it’s flexible. I’m available overall, but I do have to drop one kid off at 7:30am and pick another one up at 3:00. I will crate when/if needed. Go on walks often depending on which service you choose. Even though my yard is unfenced there is a dog park close to our house.

Whitney was incredible and Cooper loved his stay. She was very helpful easing our anxiety about leaving him with someone for the first time, and she obviously cares very much about the dogs she takes care of.

Whitney is the SWEETEST woman. She also is the most AMAZING dog sitter! She truly treats your pets the same as it was her own. My dog got to be apart of her family routine and I never doubted that he wouldn’t be happy there. She sent me updates with pictures throughout his stay. I am so happy I found her, it makes planning trips so stress free when not having to worry about who is watching my fur baby.

A typical day

Each dog is unique and some just need attention and lots of cuddles with bathroom breaks. Others need walks and probably enjoy seeing geese around our ponds. There is the greenway behind our house and the dog park to visit. We can stay in and just play ball or with a favorite toy.
