Pet care experience
I worked at an animal shelter for 5 years. My roles there was included general care and feeding of animals (cats and dogs) cage/litter box matienance, dog training, dog walks, and educating people on dog and cat behavior and body language. We had a range of cat and dog types, from the super friendly to the super skittish to the behavior challenged. Out of that I have always had pets throughout my life. I have owned cats, dogs, frogs, and fish. So I know what is required to take care of a pet and the attention that an animal needs. I have owned dogs that were more behaviorally challenged and I know how to be patient with them and work through challenges. I have experience dog sitting and cat sitting in the past. From quick visits to letting the dog stay with me for a week.

Whitney was great with our 1 year old hound mix, Zeke. He is very much still a puppy and is very strong willed and she handled him with flying colors. She even managed to fit a walk to the park in between bouts of rain. We would definitely use her again to keep Zeke.
Whitney was very thorough—meeting with Ollie and interviewing us on his needs. He had a fabulous day with Whitney and can’t wait to spend the day with her again soon!
Whitney did great with my pup, she was very easy to communicate with and sent us updates all weekend on how things were going and even included pictures. I would recommend her and will be using her again!

No breed preference, I do have a dog as well who is roughly 80 pounds so any dogs that come to my home need to be dog friendly.
A typical day
Walks will be in a very people and dog friendly neighborhood with access to large grassy areas and parks. Also have a nice backyard that we can hang out in and read or play with toys depending on your dogs personality. I do let animals on the furniture, but will not allow if you request that.
