I grew up in an animal loving household and have had all kinds of pets over the years....cats, dogs, rabbits, snakes, fish and even an iguana. I currently have two chihuahuas named Benny (Detective Benny Smalls) and Jax. Ben is a sassy, little chihuahua with markings above his eyes that make for very expressive facial expressions 😄 and Jax is the ultimate couch potato and loves to cuddles 🤗 I used to own American Bull dogs...our first was named Moon Pie and later on we got the Sadie. I loved these two dogs so much. They had so much love to give and are sorely missed. That is the hard thing about large breeds...they only live for a short amount of time so I treasure every moment I had with them. 💜 Dog Sitting Experience: Recently (within the past two years), I've cared for a giant, young Slovakian wolf dog named Kavik. We established a relationship and I would stay with Kavik almost every Thursday for about 6 months. He was a very large breed and I took special care with him. He had a lot of energy and would be so excited and want to jump up on me....it took sometime but we were able to establish a good relationship where the owner and I had a system and as soon as I was in control of his leash that meant I was not a stranger and would be taking care of him. He would settle down then and listen. He is a very smart animal and I was proud to have gotten to know him. He was rehomed to a place with a giant area for him to run and be free. He was a great dog and I definitely miss him! ❤️ I also took care of a beautiful, chunky basset hound named Sasha. She is just the cutest little love bug. She is a major couch potato (like my Jax) and would just love to snuggle and get belly rubs 😊
