Pet care experience
I have always loved being around all kinds of animals. I grew up on a farm surrounded by sheep, chickens, rabbits, goats, and cows. Our family dog was a Cocker Spaniel, whom we had for 12 years. I currently reside with a pup named Sawyer, a tuxedo cat named Mr. Kitty, a tripod kitten named Little Miss, a Green Cheek Conure named Crackers, a Cockatiel named Kevin, a Lilac Crowned Amazon named Zelda, and four hermit crabs: Patricia, Henry, Oliver, & Sheldon. Or, as we refer to them, Patricia & the Herms, because she is Queen up in that tank. If you didn't know hermit crabs have personalities, THEY DO & it's fantastic to witness. I love animals of all kinds, and enjoy taking care of them. I can’t imagine not having animals in my life. And, despite having so many, there is A LOT more room in my heart to love & care for more. Instead of increasing my zoo count, I'd like to come hang out with yours!

Whitney did a wonderful job looking after our guinea pigs, Bear & Wolf while we were away. When we first met for the ‘meet and greet’ Whitney was so caring & her positive attitude and love for animals comes across instantly. Loved the pictures & the updates we received each day- I highly recommend Whitney for your fur babes!

Whitney walked my dog last minute for a week and did a superb job. Easy to communicate with and reliable. If our regular dog walker ever goes away again, Whitney will be the first person we call!

I would like to know about any special quirks they may have, or any sensitive areas they don't want to be touched. No breed preferences, all dogs welcome! I just like to understand where they're coming from if they react negatively when out on walks, so that I can be prepared to avoid the situation, or respond appropriately.
A typical day
I live about half a mile down the road from the Cherry Creek Trail, which my dog Sawyer and I frequently visit. My apartment complex has a long stretch of yard where dogs like to run around and play fetch, and across the complex is a small park. When I come to the dog's home, I like to look up what parks are close by to perhaps enjoy.
