Pet care experience
Currently, I work for Blue Ridge Humane Society as the Adoption Program Manager and I own my own dog training business Rott'n Dogs Behavior & Training, LLC. In the past, I have worked in a dog kennel where I later learned how to groom dogs and worked in a lab for NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine. I also worked at Animal Hospital East in Asheville. I studied Animal Science at NCSU. I have also interned for the WNC Nature Center rehabilitating wildlife. I love animals of all shapes and sizes and I love felines as much as canines! My pets are like my children and I take them every where possible. My furbabies are as follows: Meekoe (Pomeranian, 10 years old), Rufus (Shar Pei, 10 years old), Gator (tuxedo cat, 6 years old), Bumble (Ragdoll Cat, 5 years old), Indiana Jones (Pomeranian, 4 years old), Bagheera (Cane Corso, 4 years old), Mila (English Mastiff, 3 years old), Ellie (Rottweiler, 2 years old) and Ozzy (Saint Bernard, 9 months old). My life is covered in paw prints and I can’t wait to meet your pets!

Whitney was no less than Wonderful in every aspect of staying with my cat & pups! If I have get a chance to get away again in the near future & she could not stay I would seriously consider not going or bringing my pets with me! So nice to come home to happy faces & the house even cleaner than I left it!!
Whitney was a wonderful choice to take care of our dogs overnight. Shelby and Gracie were very relaxed and tired when we got home, which shows what a great time they had with her. It enabled us not to worry about them when we were on our overnight adventure. Whitney was also very flexible when we got the dates confused and had to reschedule! She is the perfect choice the next time we need overnight help!
Whitney took on a special needs dog knowing about his issues. She is diligent with his care and always looks for ways to make him more comfortable. She shows the same level of care and concern with her other animals as well as mine. Her concentration in school is on animal care and she is an excellent student. Whitney has worked in a boarding/daycare/grooming kennel and would always tell me about the dogs she came in contact with and how much she loved seeing them. She loves cats just as much. Whitney has always been very responsible and shows that daily with her work/school/ home life. She's the best!
Whitney is a very kind and responsible person. She has several pets of her own, whom she loves dearly. She has looked after my puppy for prolonged periods for me and I could tell that he was happy and well taken care of when I returned. For as long as I've known her she has demonstrated a deep passion for all animals and anyone would be lucky to have her looking after their pets.

I would like to get to know my client's dog(s) as much as possible so I can really treat them as if they were my own. What is your dog's favorite toy? Favorite place to walk? Favorite spot to rub? Are they scared of anything? For example, one of my dogs does not like seeing animals on TV, especially dogs and horses. So, I try to watch other things when he's in the room.
A typical day
I love to see a dog get really excited about life and learning so if you are open to it, I would love to give your dogs some enrichment or puzzle type games to help them be stimulated mentally AND physically.
