I will love your dog!
Pet care experience
I have raised and trained many dogs in my life. I have been asked often to train or help train friends' and families' dogs too. I have regularly kept friends and neighbors dogs while they are out of town, anywhere from a few days to several weeks. I understand how dogs think and enjoy their company. We (my wife and I) currently have a playful, well-behaved golden retriever who always loves to have the company of other dogs. We have a large, wooded, fenced yard and I take my dog on at least one long walk in the woods every day, rain or shine. If you are looking for someone who will treat your dog as family, I'm your guy. I am also open to regular dog walking gigs or even daytime stays for your dog. I want dogs to be happy so if there is something I can do to help you out, please ask.. While I'm not an official dog trainer, I am happy to do some training with yours if you would like as part of their stay.
Reviews
Whit was GREAT! He had no problem charming my pup and she loved their walk!
Dogs love Whitney! Wherever he goes, dogs seek him out and know that he is sure to have treats in his pocket. He makes sure that dogs in his care have sufficient exercise and lots of love and affection. He is kind and intuitive and cares for all animals as if they were his own.

I will treat your dog as family. I have good routines for dogs and believe exercise is the key to a happy dog. I'm comfortable with all ages, from puppies to older dogs and Mabel (my dog) is too. We have a large, fenced, wooded yard for your dog to explore, live in a quiet neighborhood that's great for walking and I have scouted out every park and wooded area for miles around for our daily hikes.

Information Whit M. would like to know about your pet
I have taken care of everything from puppies to very elderly dogs and am happy to work with you to make sure your dog gets what it needs. I can do a little training as well if you'd like. I want your dog to be happy so let me know what it needs.
A typical day
My daily schedule with my dog will be roughly what I do with yours unless you ask for something different, which we can discuss. I typically let my dog out into our large, fenced wooded yard in the morning then feed her breakfast. We typically take a long walk in the afternoon out in the woods at one of the local parks or other places I have found. Depending on the day, we also take walks around the neighborhood and to the park in our neighborhood. I give her dinner around 6:00. There is a lot of informal play time, including trips to the dog park, across the street to play with our friend's puppy, etc. We give our dog a lot of attention.

I am currently partially retired so my schedule is fairly flexible. I do travel occasionally so there will be times I'm not available. As I mentioned above, my dog loves company and. I love the company of dogs so doing this type of work is right up my alley.
