Pet care experience
I've had dogs and cats my whole life. I am a regular volunteer at the Tahoe-Truckee humane society. I have recently become petless after the loss of my two pups and I need furry friends to keep me company on hikes, trips to the beach, and treks through the snow.

Westan took wonderful care of our dog, Cole. He was responsive and kept us informed with photos and texts on how he was doing and got him plenty of outdoor time. I would highly recommend to anyone needing boarding.
Westan was so great to fill my last minute request to come over and walk and feed my old dog while I was away for the day. I would definitely use his services again.
Westan is an amazing dog sitter! He really made sure our dog Reishi got lots of exercise. He was very accommodating and helped us out last minute. We will definitely be boarding with Westan again :)
Lacie had a great stay with Westan and his family! He was very communicative and made it easy to pick up and drop off. He took her swimming and hiking, her favorite activities. I’d definitely have Lacie stay with Westan again!

I am a very active person, so your dog will get plenty of exercise! I will usually take dogs on walks or runs 4-5 times during the day. Your pet will never be left alone in the home as my parents will be around if I have to leave the house for any reason. We all love dogs and cats so there will be no lack of attention and belly rubs!!

It is good to know the dog's feeding schedule, his/her energy level, and if the dog is ok to be left alone throughout the day. This makes it easier to determine if the dog is a good fit given my current schedule at the time.
A typical day
I like to take dogs on hikes, runs, and trips to the beach. There is a trailhead right next to my house that accesses Paige Meadows. These are great trails for running and hiking and are usually uncrowded! I also like walking down to the Truckee River for a quick swim!

I am currently living at home for the winter with my parents. I do rover full time, and my parents help me out when I need to leave the house.
