Your fur babies brighten up my day!
Pet care experience
**Update 3/18/2024: my dog is currently recovering from TPOL surgery so I will not be able to board any dogs at my house for awhile. I try to keep my calendar updated with my limited time, but feel free to message me if it looks like I'm not available! Apologies for the inconvenience!** I understand the anxiety of finding a sitter who can safely and lovingly manage your fur baby's issues such as leash reactivity and separation anxiety. Having dealt with special needs dogs of my own, I have special experience and patience working with big dogs, especially reactive or anxious ones from traumatic backgrounds. I develop a bond and engagement with the pup so that they feel secure and loved while their parents (you) are away. If you are a new client, we will need to have a meet and greet before we get to work with each other. More details will be sent in bookings. Dogs enrich my life better than just myself alone. Sometimes I look at my pet or my fur clients and am so amazed that they love us so unconditionally. I have owned dogs of all sizes ranging from chihuahuas to Staffies. I have volunteered my time to work with K9s. I have housebroken and trained all of my dogs to learn verbal and visual commands plus additional tricks. If you are interested in your pet improving certain skills, I can also help with that while your pup under my care - it's an additional service I offer at no extra charge. I can either follow your method or offer my recommendations. It will be enough of a reward when your doggie is able to show off any improvement in their reactivity. I know how difficult it is to manage daily, but will still have hope and never give up on your fur baby. I'd love to pass on what I've learned in hopes that it helps someone else as well. I am attentive, honest, as well as communicative. I I will treat your house like my own, leaving it the way it came when I pass it back to you! Though my primary focus is on your dog and house, if your dog prefers a play buddy then I can bring my dog Tank, who has gotten along well with resident dogs, is well behaved, and 100% housebroken (not even marking). Let me know if you are interested in having Tank also hang out and play! He has made a few BFFs with my clients :) Communication: I shall update you on your dog's status with photos - they may even appear on my dog's Instagram page under @grassinspectortank as just their name, no other identifying information (let me know if you prefer your dog to not appear in photos). I am active outside of my home and I would gladly bring your dogs with me and guarantee that my utmost priority is making sure they return home safe. During the pandemic I still social distance and pretty much keep to myself most of the time, minimizing contact with other people. Let me know if you need me to practice any other precautions. Ping me with any questions!

This has got to be the 4th or 5th time we've used Wendy when going out of town and once again, it has been a dream experience. We don't have to worry at all that she will take care of our dog as well as our house and anything that's needed. She even makes sure to clean everything before she leaves and we come home to a spotless house. Thank you so much!
Wendy was great! Kept our two rambunctious doggies safe and comfy during our few nights away and sent us lots of photos and updates. We'd highly recommend her for your dog or pet care needs!
Wendy took excellent care of Doja and provided lots of updates throughout Doja’s stay. Doja also loved playing with Wendy’s dog Tank and came home a really happy girl. Highly recommend
Wendy is amazing with dogs! She stayed with our dog, Luna, while we were overseas on vacation and she was fantastic. Luna is a very anxious dog and before the trip Wendy took the time to really get to know all Luna's issues and had lots of great insights into dog behavior etc. She is a lovely person and we felt very comfortable with her caring for both our dog and our home. When our plans changed, Wendy was really helpful and flexible and was able to come to stay earlier than planned which we really appreciated. Throughout our trip Wendy sent us regular updates on Luna and great photos. She was very patient with Luna and gave her all the time she needed to get comfortable with her and she was considerate of her needs which included daily medication. Wendy brought her adorable dog, Tank, to stay too which was great company for Luna and she managed the two dogs together very carefully. She also left our house clean and tidy. Wendy was wonderful for Luna and we are so happy we found her on Rover.

I wake up to immediately take the dogs out to potty then give the dogs breakfast. Active time happens after that with an afternoon nap time and back to active time and dinner. I take their medications seriously as well as other instructions. I will never complain about too many details!
Information Wendy T. would like to know about your pet
Does the dog respond to his/her name? Does the dog know any commands? How should the dog go potty? Is your pup leash reactive? Is your dog anxious in cars? Any other triggers or reactivity? I am especially pit and bully friendly!
A typical day
I like to pick nice parks with lots of stimulating things to sniff. I also like dog parks if your dog likes them too. If they need socializing skills, I can help with that too. Depending on the dog, I may play ball, tug-o-war, and frisbee. Let me know if your dog has car anxiety - I like visiting places to walk around and would love to take them walking with me.

I sometimes go into the office for work and sometimes just work from home. I take my pet sitting job seriously, playing and training with them as much as I can and helping them feel safe. For my own health, I have to engage in regular walking everyday and what better walking companion than a dog?
