Pet care experience
I am a Ph.D. student in clinical psychology. I recently moved to DC and previously had two rescue dogs with my significant other. One of our dogs came to us with severe anxiety and needed lots of exercise to reduce her stress, so I understand the value of healthy, happy dogs for good quality of life. I now live in an apartment and miss having my dogs, and I love being outside, so I would love to spend some time walking and spending time with your dog! I am available several days during the week since I am a graduate student and work from home on some weekdays (Tuesdays and Fridays usually). I am also available on weekends for walking or dog-sitting at your home. I hope to establish a great relationship with your family and your dog very soon!
Reviews
Wendy has dog sat my two dogs multiple times before. My dogs can be quite the handful sometimes (lots of barking and they don't have great leash manners, a bit territorial) and she managed to keep them both safe and happy. One of my dogs is quite anxious and Wendy has experience having owned a very anxious dog of herself so she is great at recognizing the signs of anxiety and knows behavioral techniques to handle it. She also kept me updated with lots of cute pictures of my pups while I was away since I missed them a lot - I'm sure she'd be happy to do that for you too!
