Hey everyone! My name is Wendy and let's be honest, I LOVE animals. I'm looking to help other out while also snuggling with your four legged family member. My goal is to mostly work weekends, but there may be time where I can help in the evenings during the week as well. What's my selling point? With me, you get the added security of a licensed veterinarian watching your beloved family friend. I know how scary it can be to have strange people watch your pet, and I hope to ease some of that with my skill level! I graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 and currently am stationed here in Jacksonville. I am licensed in both Tennessee and in Florida. Feel comfortable knowing your fur child is being watch/walked or loved on by a medical professional. I do work every day of the week, but my job is also one I can bring your dog with me to work, so they aren't ever left at home alone. They do need to be well behaved, because at work they will be in my office with a closed door. So please, I cannot house dogs known to scratch doors, or howl or bark when left alone. I do ask for well behaved dogs. They will get plenty of attention at work with me though! But as I see patients, they will have to remain in my office. If your pet CAN be left at home alone, I work normal business hours (government), and so would be able to still take great care of your pet! Your pet must be current on flea prevention with proof able to be provided. All of my pets (1 small dog and 2 cats) are vaccinated and on monthly preventatives. Some fun things for your pet could include walks on the beach as my clinic also has access to the beach! I also have a fenced dog park at my apartment that they can run around in! If your pet DOES require an emergency visit to the nearest ER clinic, you, as the owner, will be responsible for cost accrued at that visit. I do offer at home nail trims as well (I have it listed under grooming/bath but it will be nail trim only). I would be more than happy to help with your senior dog or dogs needing a little extra care. With being a veterinarian I’m happy to administer medications or if your pet needs something like their bladder expressed through the day. Feel free to reach out and ask!
