We have lived with dogs and looked after dogs for many years. Our dogs share our lives and home and live as pampered members of the family. We would love to look after your dog too and will welcome them as part of our home and family. We work from home and one of us is almost always home. Your dog will never be left alone - but if necessary no more than a couple of hours at a time. We don't use crates, and definitely not closed ones, but if that is what your dog is used to, and you think your dog would be happier in a crate then we can accommodate as long as he or she seems content. We only look after dogs in our own home, they are free to wander from house to garden. The garden is secure and fenced, and the door from garden to lounge tends to be open all the time. You can supply your own food which we can heat or cook if you have particular needs. We are happy to look after your dog during the day if you are on holiday and want to go places that you can't take your dog such as the beach. My daughter Hannah lives in London and has loads of 5* reviews as a dog sitter. When in France she will sometimes share the doggy care.

Wendy is a wonderful person, warm and caring, and our little Luna adored her! Wendy sent us photos and short videos every day, it was clear our doggy had a fabulous time. Dogs are treated as part of the family, they have freedom of the house upstairs and down and can go into the garden when they choose. Please bring their bed, but in our experience dogs often like to sleep somewhere else - or in someone elses basket while on their holidays with us. Sometimes dogs may not be interested in their own food but prefer the food of our dogs. In this case, unless you tell us otherwise, we are happy to mix it up a bit according to their preference. We don't feed from the table and don't give snacks> Occasionally we may offer a piece of clean unboned chicken, tuna, beef or small piece of hard cheese to keep them interested.

Please le to me know if your dog has any special needs or has any known behaviour traits that we should know about. Does you dog get easily stressed. Anxious or frightened? Has you dog ever bitten anyone or assaulted another animal. Does your dog like to be encouraged to play and stimulated ir left alone?
A typical day
We will play on the garden, chill in the shade, go for a walk depending if the weather is suitable. We can play ball. Hide and find, have a cool splash I shallow paddling pool, or just chill and watch the (garden) world go by

I work from home, the doors to the enclosed garden are always open. We live near a car free area along the river and when not too hot the dogs enjoy lovely walks
